Bruce - sorry

You ran on to the jet rubbing the place that hulk had just slapped when you were trying to calm him.

It hurt like a bitch but it wasn't his fault, you shouldn't of tried to help.

You were still only training and you put everyone else at risk.

Or so you though anyways.

'Hulks hit really should of broke my neck' you though rubbing all down the side of your neck, feeling your body swim with pain.

Bruce slowly trotted on the the jet and sat opposite you, never making eye contact with you.

Three days after the code green went down and Bruce still had not spoken to you.

You couldn't help but think maybe it was something you did. Your mind raced for hours, trying to find something you might of fucked up, but nothing popped out.

You decided to confront him, you marched to his lab and banged on the door, not waiting for a 'come in' you swong the door open and faced Bruce.

"What the hell is your problem? Why are you ignoring me? Have I done something to upset you?" You ramble loudly. Staring him right in the eyes.

"What? (Y/N) no, its not like that-" you were to angry to let him finish.

"Then what is it like Bruce? Because I can't think of anything that I could of fucking done to upset you this much!" You shout, stepping closer.

You wasn't planning on getting emotional but apparently your body had other ideas as tears brimmed your eyes.

"(Y/N) no, this isn't your fault, I just don't want to hurt you again, I could of killed you! Look at the bruise down your face and neck! I don't need to have a closer look to tell that I tore some of the muscles in your neck! Look at the state of you because of HIM! BECAUSE OF ME." Bruce screams, collapsing on his seat, tears streaming down his face.

Your stance loosened as you walked towards Bruce. Your face softened as he choked up.

"Bruce... Am fine, you didn't kill me, am right here..." You mutter placing your hand on his shoulder.

"I could of killed the woman I love, do you not understand that? I could of killed you (Y/N)..." Bruce sobbed, brushing your hand off his shoulder.

You stood in shock for a few moments, he never brushed off your touch...

Then it hit you.

"You love me...? Bruce look at me!" You place both hands on either side of his face and gentally moved it so he was looking at you "You love me?" You whispered.

You took in the way Bruce looked, dark bags under his eyes, his hair was messier than normal and his face was covered in tears. Your heart broke at the sight.

"I could of killed you." He mutters again, he took your hands off of his face.

"Answer my question Banner. Do you love me?" You whispered taking a step closer.

He grabbed a handful of your top and pulled you closer, his head resting on your stomach.

"I always have," he weeps, you could feel the wetness of his tears through your top.

"Bruce... Come here." You say quietly, making him stand up.

You instantly wrap your arms around this neck and pull him close. His arms snake around your waist.

"You didn't kill me, I am fine, a little bit sore but honestly I've never been better," you say slowly kissing his tear soaked cheek.

"I am so sorry (Y/N), we didn't mean to hit you... It was an accident, I am so so sorry... I love you..." Bruce chokes out into the crook of your neck, pulling you closer, if that was even possible.

"I love you too Banner," you say kissing his forehead softly.

"I am so sorry..." He whispers again leaning back looking in your eyes.

"Its okay, I forgive you." You say smiling widely.

He takes one of your hands from around his neck and kisses your knuckles softly. Over and over again before looking at you again.

"I am so s-" you were sick of hearing him apologise.

"Shut up Banner," you giggle pulling him in for another hug.
