Ops...
******You couldn't believe you were late for your first day of work. You got up an hour earlier than you needed but that didn't help with the line in Starbucks.
Once you had finally gotten the four coffee's you ran out the shop and awkwardly jogged down the street of Hell's Kitchen.
Panic raised in your chest, you stopped and awkwardly pulled off your heels. Coffee in one hand, high heels and bag in the other as you started to run.
You started panting slightly as your bear feet thumped against the concrete.
At one point in time or another probably had blood on it. You pushed the thought from your mind as you rounded the corner.
You looked down at your wrist watch and collided with something solid.
Hot coffee splashed down your front as you fell.
"Shit-fuck-tittie-twat!" You half yelled half groaned as you peels your self off the side walk and into a crouching position.
"Can you not see where-" you started, raging building in your stomach.
"Actually no. I can't." The man chuckled deeply.
You spotted a white stick next to your bag, you followed the stem all the way up.
"Oh shit." You muttered.
"Its alright." He said softly, offering you a hand up.
"Thank you, I'm ever so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. I'm really late for work." You admitted, your eyes staring at his red glasses.
"Its alright, where's your work? I can walk with you? To make sure you don't bump into anyone else." He chuckled again, it was deep and filled with an emotion you couldn't put your finger on.
"Nelson and Murdock, its a little lawyer's firm just ar-"
"Around the corner, yeah I know the place." He smiled widely. "I'm heading there too."
"My names Y/N, by the way." You smiled even though he couldn't see it.
"Matt." He nodded in response.
"Nice to meet you Matt. And thank you for walking me." You smiled wider at the blind stranger.
"Not a problem. So what are you doing at your new job?" He asked pleasantly as he offered his arm to you.
You glanced at his arm and back to his stubbled face.
You looped your arm with his instantly, his smile spread across his face.
"An assistant, I've just finished my law degree and need somewhere to start, Mr Nelson was very understanding and really awesome actually." You gave a light chuckle "I've never met Mr Murdock." You admitted as you both strolled to the building front door.
"I hear he's quite good looking," Matt said quietly looking at you. Or rather pointing his head in your general direction.
"After you." He said, unlooping
His arm from yours."Thank you, I hope he isn't, I know it sounds silly-" you almost stuttered.
"No, falling for a colleague is awkward." He chuckled again.
The walk to the office wasn't long but it was pleasant, you kept stealing looks at Matt.
Then it hit you.
"Shit. My top." You stopped mere feet away from the door sighed 'NELSON AND MURDOCK ATTORNEYS AT LAW'.
"I'm sure they will have something for you." He reassured you as he looped his arm with your again.
He flashed you one last stunning smile before entering the little lawyer's office.
"Foggy? You here already?" Matt called out, taking off his sliver suit jacket.
"Yeah Matt, just fixing sections of Miss Green's contract from last week." Foggy said as he rounded the corner.
"Ah! Y/N! Your here, you actually showed... Guess I owe you." Foggy said before handing Matt a five note.
"It was ten Foggy." Matt chuckled.
You glanced between the two confused.
Foggy handed Matt another five note.
"Can we get miss Y/L/N a top? I bumped into her and she spilled our coffee, which she kindly got us." Matt said as he took a seat on a near by desk.
"What..." You asked no one in particular.
"Ah bumping into the boss o the first day huh, reminds me of me." Foggy chuckled as Matt threw once of his spare dark shirts at you.
"Thank you." You mumbled.
"Wait- boss? Wait-YoU'RE MATT MURDOCK? AWH FUCK." You shouted, your face turning bright red.
"No, not fuck I mean I- I please don't fire me." You said half jokingly half seriously.
Matt and Foggy looked from each other to you.
"I'm sorry Y/N but I'm afraid-" Matt started.
Panic bubbled in your throat.
"That you can't get away from us now." Foggy finished, they both chuckled deeply.
"Ugh. Not funny." You chuckled, shaking your head playfully.
A few slow hours had past, with a few clients passing in and out of the office, Foggy left to get lunch and you and Matt sat across from each other.
Matt was reading brail and you were typing up a contract.
"So about the whole office romance thing?" Matt started as he lifted his head up to 'look' at you.
It kinda freaked you out how he always knew where you were.
You shifted awkwardly, remembering you were in Matt's deep purple shirt "Hm, yeah about that- I didn't know you were my-"
"How about dinner tonight? 8 o'clock? I will pick you up." He asked, an unsure look on his handsome face.
"Sure. Sounds great." You smile awkwardly and yet you were proud of yourself. You had no idea why you were proud though.
"Here comes fooooood!" Foggy declared as he entered the room.
"Delivered by my awesome self." Foggy gave a meaningful look to you then to Matt then to you again.
"You told him I thought he was awesome?" You spoke softly, shock evident in your voice.
"Of course I did Y/N, he's in a good mood so he will buy the first round after work." Matt chuckled deepy, pointing his gaze to Foggy.
"Just for that, I'm only buying mine and Y/N's!" Foggy exclaimed dramaticly as he hammed into his lunch.
