My eyes flutter open to see the dark red ceiling of my bedroom. It's about 7 o' clock. I crawl out of my bed and start to get dressed. I decide on wearing a green flannel, black leggings, and army green converse. I start to put on some makeup when I hear a knock on the door.
"Coming!" I yell and speed towards the door. I straighten myself up and start to open the door. The door flings open.
"Lex! What are you doing here? How do you even know where I live?" I ask surprised and irritated. Lex marches into the living room.
"Nice place. A bit small I must say," Lex replies and pets my cat, Baby. "I'm taking you to work."
"Um, alright. Let me just finish getting ready..." I say hesitantly, head back towards my room, and finish my makeup. "Lets go Lex." I throw open the door and head out. He follows.
"Mary, I'm sorry. I feel as though I am annoying you. Not just today, but for the past week or so. Am I right?" Lex sighs and nervously runs his fingers through his hair.
I knew he didn't just come to pick me up...
"Its fine; I forgive you, but yes. I am slightly annoyed with you." I reply blandly and hail a cab. Lex looks shattered.

Lex quickly gets out of the black cab, opens my door, and helps me out. The whole ride was quiet and filled with nervous energy. We pace into the main room. Simon Miller is sitting there in a simple outfit of jeans and a dark green t-shirt.
"Hello Mercy. How have you been?" Lex greets Mercy refusing to acknowledge Simon. I send Lex a dirty look, although he doesn't notice, then sit next to Simon. After talking to Mercy, Lex heads towards his office.
"Hi Simon. I'm sorry I haven't been talking to you later. Lex has been a bit..." I greet him before pausing.
"Overprotective? Don't worry, I know. Your not the first girl he's been treated like that." he replies and starts to squeeze his hands.
"Well, that definitely makes me feel special." I laugh and continue to watch him as he stares at me with focus.
"Sarcastic?" he questions pausing, "You shouldn't be. You really are special." Simon complements while blushing, making him look boyish.
"Thank you..." I blush feeling a sudden wave affection for him. "Do you maybe want to grab a cup of coffee sometime?" I say hesitantly.
What the hell am I saying?
"Of course! Lets take a walk now. I mean if Mr. Luthor isn't waiting on you." Simon grins and stands up.
"No, no. He'll be fine without me. I'll just work later." I claim and start towards the door. Simon nods and opens it for me. The chilly air hits our skin as we head out. Mercy looks... I don't know... disappointed?

Simon and I arrive back at the doors of LexCorp after our lovely, yet cold, walk. Him and I pause before entering the building. I began to reach for the door handle when I feel a warm hand pull me back. Simon holds me to his chest, then lifts up my chin. His cheekbones are dominate to the rest of his face. He is attractive, he has all somewhat good features. These add up to one striking face.
"Simon, I'm sorry, but I don't fe-" I try to say, but before I can finish he presses his pink lips to mine. At first I am surprised and confused. Then, I close my eyes settling into the kiss feeling at ease. The door of LexCorp opens.
"Mary!" I hear Lex gasp. I pull away and look at him. His eyes are full with an odd mix of envy and hurt.
