Superb //Lex Luthor//

Part Twelve

"Then what do you want to do Mary? We could watch a movie or maybe just talk." Lex asks quickly and then sits on the brownish red couch. I walk towards him then sit on the couch with my legs crossed facing him. 

How the hell should I know? I didn't think you'd even want to stay longer then ten minutes.  

"I don't know. I suppose we can just talk, but I'm not sure what about." I reply sighing while stretching out my legs. One of my feet touches his thigh, but he doesn't seem to mind. 

"Okay darling Mary. So beside your relationship with Simon, how do you like the other employees at LexCorp?" he questions casually and sips the cup of water I gave him. A wave of annoyance overcomes me.

"Can you please stop talking about that? I never had a relationship with Simon! All he did was kiss me; do you think I wanted him to?" I raise my voice angered by Lex's incapability to let go.  His expression changes to a hurt one. 

"You kissed him back..." he mutters so I can barely hear it. "He can't have you! You belong to me!" Lex's tone changes from a quiet to loud. I pull my legs back and cross them. I stay silent. "You hear me Mary. You belong to me." Lex breaths heavily now pinning me down. I begin to fear him. 

"I-I d-don't belong to anyone, L-Lex." I stutter and look into his eyes. Then he realizes what he had said and what he was doing. Lex pecks my cheek and then climbs off of me and cradles his head in his hands squeezing his eyes closed. 

"I'm so sorry Mary. Please forgive my actions." he repeats while I watch. Ever since I met him my feelings for him have been a mix of affection, hate, and fear. I loved him, but at the same time I feared him. Did I love him because I feared him? Am I attracted to his power or something else? I'm so confused. I choose to do with my first thought and that is me wrapping my arms around him and hugging him. Lex looks up and positions himself so he can hug me back. 

"I care about you, Mary." he whispers and kisses my forehead.
