"Lex, this isn't wh-" I try to convince him otherwise, but he's not to buying it.
"What it looks like? Then what the hell is it, Mary? What the hell is it? Cause to me it looks an awful like you were kissing the very guy I told you to stay away from!" Lex yells brutishly and grabs both of my wrist in one hand. Simon slowly backs away from me as Lex's angrily shouts. "And you! You'r-you're fired! Simon Miller you are fired!" he yells to him and squeezes my wrist. "I'm absolutely tired of watching you ruin my female employees! Go grab your god damn stuff and get out!" Lex screams at him drawing the attention of civilians. Simon runs inside while Lex pulls me towards his office not letting go of my wrist.
"Lex, please let go. Your hurting me..." I whimper once we're inside of the room. He lets go and then starts to pace the door. My wrist have red marks on them from Lex's grip. He then sits on the couch and buries his head in his hands.
"You hurt me, Mary." he whispers under this breath. I take a seat on the red carpet. I feel a wave of pain and guilt overcome me. I didn't want this. I never wanted to hurt Lex. He's... fragile.
"I'-I'm sorry, Lex. I don't like Simon that way." I lie and start to claw at the skin on my wrist. I recall how Lex fired him for something so childish and feel a wave of rage. "You didn't need to fire him though." I mummer under my breath.
"I wish you were right, Mary!" he yells now standing up and approaching me. He towers me and I try to back away.
"You're so childish! Your family would be ashamed!" I scream at him and stomp towards the door.
"Ha! You think that hurts me? My father was disappointed with me since I was born! All I wanted was Daddy's love." Lex laughs and blocks me from leaving. "Mary," he pauses changing his tone, "you may not know it, but you are mine. And I'm not too keen on sharing..." Lex says before kissing my cheek and wrapping his arm around my waist.
