I enter LexCorp, it seems duller than usual. Mercy flicks her eyes towards me, then returns her attention to the screen. I pass her and and start towards Lex's office. His office is empty, he's probably at the lab looking at the majestic rock, Kryptonite. I'm not sure why Lex has it. I'll be sure to ask when I see him. Lex throws open the door, he looks like he hasn't slept in days.
Speak of the devil.
"Mary!" he says startled and runs his hands through his hair. "We have great-great news. Come see." Lex says quickly and grabs my wrist and pulls me out of the room, down the hall, and into the lab. He then throws a white lab coat at me, one like his own. I pull it on over my black and gray shirt. It's about as long as my shirt, so a little higher than my knee. There is a dead body of Zod (Lex told me about him) on the table, the smell is strange and makes me cringe. "Watch." Lex instructs and heads towards the body. He grabs a pair of tweezers, picks a small piece of the Kryptonite, then brings the the fragment to the body.
I gasp.
"Mary, this is the key to killing Superman." he then turns to me and takes his hands in mine. Then, presses his soft pink lips to my red ones.
