"Wait, what? What do you mean kill Superman? He's not a threat, Lex." I question and pull away from the kiss. His expression looks like he is looking down on me, like an adult explaining something to a child .
"He's not a threat, Mary? Are you really that innocent? What about the battle with Zod? He destroyed buildings and families. He killed people, Mary!" Lex laughs and pushes his hands into his lab coat pockets.
"But if we didn't have Superman... Zod would have destroyed the whole planet." I mumble slightly frightened of Lex.
"If we didn't have Superman, Zod wouldn't come here in the first place!" he yells then storms out of the lab. He does make a point, but is killing Superman really the way to go? I sigh at this thought and take off the lab coat and start towards his office to do my job, which I don't really get to do so often because of how much Lex is pulling me around.
I enter the office and Lex is leaning against his desk staring at the upside down painting of angels and demons. He then turns to me.
"Now we know, devils don't come from the hell below us. They come from come from the sky." he mumbles and takes my hand in his.
