The entire ride was silent. Lex sat to my left in the back on a vibrant, yellow taxi. My mind raced with unfinished thoughts.
What type of clothes do I need?
What does Baby need?
Why are we so quiet?
"You can drop us off here." Lex breaks the silence as we approach a large shopping center. The taxi driver nods and parks the dirty, yellow car near a sign reading "drop-off zone". I tug on my plain, gray hoodie and crawl out of the taxi.
Well, technically... this isn't mine. I guess it's Lex's.
Large, red letters scream at me "METROPOLIS MALL". Lex looks over at me and smiles. Its a sweet smile. I smile back... mine's not as sweet. Lex and I walk up a small flight of stairs leading to two sets of large motion censored doors. Once I step on the big, ribbed, black mat in front of the doors, they slide open. Lex leads the way into an intense collection of stores lining a enormous hallway.
Okay, so what do I need? I guess I'll make a list. Hmmmm.

My face floods with embarrassment with the thought have having to shop for bras and underwear with my crush and my boss. I press my palm to my forehead and squeeze my eyes shut.
"Hm?" Lex mumbles, tilts his head towards me, an looks at me through the corner of his eye.
"Nothing." I reply without hesitation and flash him a smile.
