Chapter 36: Precious Moment

Matapos ng bangayan namin at selos serye ni Jasper ay bumalik kami sa paghahanap kay Nhaire. Halos mabaliw na si Candace sa pag iisip kung nasaan ang anak niya. Kahit ako din naman nag aalala para sa inaanak ko. We are all worried.

"Maybe we should call some security to help us." Suggest ni Euson.

"We already did at hinahanap na nila si Nhaire." Sabi ko habang pinapainom ng tubig si Candace.

"What if we call some police baka lumabas ang bata sa mall." Sabi ni Jasper.

"N-no hindi siya basta basta lalabas ng mall mag isa. She might be lost at nagkasalisihan lang kami. I-its my fault... p-pinabayaan ko siya." Iyak ni Candace.

"Shhh... calm down Bes we will find Nhaire." I comfort her.

"Kung sabihin mo na lang kaya kay Tri."

"Wag!!!" Sabay naming sabi ni Candace.

I sighed.

"Jasper please understand the situation." I said to him.

"Im trying to understand Zaf but Demitri is the father of the girl who is missing right now. Mag karapatan din siya sa anak niya!"

Napatingin ako kay Candace. She hold Jasper's arm and begged.

"A-alam kong bestfriend mo siya Jasper pero... pero sana this time ako naman ang intindihin mo. Please..."

Sandaling natahimik si Jasper. I guess he is trying to strain all up in his brain. Hindi maganda kung sasabihin namin ngayon kay Tri ang lahat. It will just complicate things.

"Fine." Simpleng sabi ni Jasper at naglakad palayo.

Agad ko naman siyang sinundan.

"Jasper wait!" Hinawakan ko ang braso niya.

"I know youre trying to defend Tri but Candace as Nhaire and Lexus' mother irespeto na lang muna natin ang desisyon niya."

"And what, hide everyghing from Demitri?"

"At first gusto ko ding sabihin niya kay Tri but when she explained the whole story somehow i understand her. Walang ina na gustong mangyari ang lahat ng to. She also want the kids to know their father. D-dahil yun din ang ginawa ko noon."

Napatingin sa akin si Jasper.

"I left you for a reason right, even other's think that it is ridiculous dahil hindi naman naging tayo. But if the heart involves the situation we get hurt even we dont want to." Napayuko na lang ako. Opening up to him is still awkward.

I heard him sighed.

"Im sorry baby... alright i will not tell Demitri but i hope someday Candace is ready to face him and tell him about their kids." He said.

I showed a petite smile.

"Thank you."

"Anything for my baby." Then he kissed my forehead.

"Uhmm Zaf..."

"Yes?" Napatingin ako sakanya. Nakatulala siya sa malayo.

"Is Nhaire wearing a purple dress below ths knee?" He asked.

I frowned.

"Yeah why??"

"I-i think that's her." Sabay turo niya sa isang toy store kung saan nilalaro ng isang bata ang isang precious moment doll. It Nhaire!!

"Oh my!! Its Nhaire!" Agad kaming tumakbo doon sa toy store.

"Baby!!!" I immediately hugged her.

"Ninang look oh! This is the doll that i want." Sabay pakita sakin nung doll.

"Jasper call Candace now."

"Baby bakit hindi ka nagpaalam we were all worried about you." Sabi ko.

"Im sorry ninang. I just want a doll." Inosente niyang sabi.

"Nhaire!!! Thank god!" Agad na niyakap ni Candace si Nhaire.

"Mommy im sorry." She said.

"Dont ever do it again okay? You made mommy worried." Iyak ni Candace.

"I wont mommy i promise." Then she hugged her mom and also her brother.

"Baby Nhaire dont do it again huh." Sabi ni Lexus sa kambal.

"Im sorry too kuya."

Napangiti na lang ako sa nakikita ko. Nhaire and Lexus are very lucky to have a mother like Candace. I hope someday their family will be complete.

"What a tiring day." Sabi ko sabay upo sa couch. After kasi naming mamasyal ay agad kaming umuwi. Napagod ako sa kakalibot kasama ng mga bata. Jasper and Euson also stayed with us. Mukhang nag en joy sila sa kambal.

"Now i understand why Candace did that." Jasper blurted.

Yeah he is here. Nagpumilit kasing ihatid ako. Wala na din naman akong nagawa, ang kulit eh!

"She is fragile. And she is afraid of rejection from Demitri knowing my friend he doesnt want any serious commitment especially building a family. Candace doesnt want their child to be neglected by their own father kaya ayaw niyang sabihin kay Tri." He explained at umupo sa tabi ko.

"Bakit kayo ganya, ang hilig niyong magpaiyak ng mga babae?" I blurted.

"Hindi lang naman kayo ang umiiyak eh, se also do especially if what we feel is deep and true."

Napatingin ako sakanya.

"So... nung after graduation..."

"Yup! I already knew that i love you im just scared to tell you that. Im also afraid of rejection."

I sighed.

"But its all in the past now baby. Ill make it up to you. I will feed you with all my love until there's no more space for others in your heart. Only me."

Napatawa na lang ako.

"Baliw!" I blurted.

"Baliw sayo."

I smiled. And he did too.

"I love you Zaf..."

Then he kissed me. I just closed me eyes and feel his every touch.

I know i will risk a big decision tonight. But i know this will make me happy. Because it is still him that sets me up on fire.

"I love you too Jasper..."

Halatang natigilan siya sa sinabi ko. He looked me with a shock face.

"Y-you do??" He utter.

Napatawa na lang ako.

"Do you think i would run away few years ago if you didnt hit my heart? You were a one hell of a cupid Jasper Keith Cervantes and i allow you to heal my heart just dont break it again." I sincerely said.

"Damn! I love you so much.." and he grab my face and claim my lips.

I just let him invade my body and soul. Fire started to burn inside of me. In every kiss and every touch i can feel his love for me. The love that ive been waiting for.
