I had a scowl on my face as the idiot behind me kept kicking my chair. I looked at Miss Prix who was looking at me curiously I looked at her with pleading eyes then down at my desk. She followed my and sees Austin kicking my chair. "Austin stop annoying poor Alma, or you can go to the office, I'm sure your mother would love to see you in her office." He instantly stopped kicking and I sighed in relief and smiled at the teacher and she smiled back.

I pinned my hair up into a low bun with my pins and sighed, it was hot and I'm not taking off my sweatshirt I have my crop top under it and it broke dress code rules. My pins were pulled out of my hair and I turned and was met with his eyes. "I like your hair down better." He whispered leaned over, really close to my face, I was probably so red. Kill me. Reader, I'm begging you. Well actually don't. I don't think my mom will survive my death. Great, I'm stuck in life.

Lunch

I got out to the halls and shivered, the windows were open and were letting the Autumn air in. I love winter it's so peaceful for me. I put away my books and slammed my locker door shut and jumped when I saw Jay, he's the soccer captain. "Uh hi." He said softly and I smiled. "Hello Jay," I said back and he smiled. "Oh, so you know my name?" I nodded and looked around and some girls were looking at me with envy while others were giving me encouraging smiles as if I needed it. Jay and his huge ego aren't my type.

"You are one of the most popular guys in school Jay," I said and he chuckled. "Well I guess but you're not too far down, girls say you're practically an Angel." He said and rubbed the back of his neck. An angel? Now that's a bit exaggerated. "So what can I help you with?" I asked and he shrugged. "Just wanted to ask if you wanted to eat with me and my girl and hang out, I mean if you want." He said and I nodded. "Sure why not?" I said and walked with him to the lunchroom. I'm not really shy I'm actually very social and I'm a good girl, and by that, I don't get into trouble. At all. I'm not what you consider a nerd I do have good grades though, and I do go out on the weekends and party, I'm a normal teenager with an annoying shadow known as Austin. He loves to bug me for no reason at all. He's basically a bully.

Isn't that great? Well actually come to think about it he's not really a bully he just teases me a lot... "Alma? Are you there?"

"Huh? Oh um yeah! Sorry just thinking." I muttered. "About your boyfriend?" He asked teasingly and I blushed. "N-no! I'm single." I said and his eyes widened. "You're too pretty to be single though." He said and I smiled a little. "No, I'm too pretty to be lied to, cheated on, and played with. You shouldn't be saying that though, may I remind you, you have a girlfriend." I said back and he frowned a bit but smiled again. "Hmm, you know not all guys are like that right?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow. "And you're the one to talk?" I ask and he blushes. "Well no, I admit I do play with girls and all but I found the right girl for me, finally and I'm quitting my player ways, I promise." I nodded. "So if you have a girl, what are you doing talking to me?" I asked him. "She wanted to meet you and asked me to invite you to lunch with us, she's actually really shy." I nodded. "Okay then," I said and opened the doors and got in line a girl came up to us and hugged Jay and blushed when she noticed me. "H-hello, I'm Danielle." She said shyly and I smiled. "Hello Danielle, I'm-" "Alma, yeah I kind of know- I mean um- I'm sorry if that came out weird." She said and I shook my head and smiled bigger. "No don't worry about it. Nice to meet you, Danielle," I said and she smiled, I'm pretty sure she's my reading teacher's daughter, she seems familiar. "Nice to meet you too."

I grabbed what I wanted to eat and followed Jay who passes by his table and went to another table. Leaving the 'popular' staring. I smiled, maybe he will change? I sat down and took a bite from my sandwich and looked at Danielle and Jay who were awkwardly sitting. "Relax guys," I said and they looked at me. "Easy for you to say." They said in sync and blushed. "C'mon, it's not that hard. Pretend you're not dating and you're best friends instead." I said and they sighed and nodded and began talking and soon they were really comfortable with each other. I smiled at them and kept eating. "Hey, pretty ladies, can I have your numbers? You know maybe we can have some fun together." A boy came and asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Back off she's mine," Jay told the boy. "And she's mine." I froze. "Austin! Dude, I didn't know she was yours, I'll be leaving now, have fun." He ran off. What a wuss. "So you two are a thing?" Danielle asked us and I shook my head. "Not even friends. I'm not his. Now excuse me," I said and walked off trying to avoid Austin. I heard footsteps behind me and I walked faster. "Alma!" I kept walking but before I knew it I was slammed against the lockers and a very mad Austin was looking at me. "Don't ever walk away from me." He growled and I struggled against his grip. Having a metal stabbing my back isn't the best feeling.

"You are mine. Get that in your small beautiful mind. You. Are. Mine." I glared at him. "No. I'm. Not. You fucking psycho, get off of me before I call for a teacher." I said and he glared back and his grip tightened and I almost winced. "Yes you are, you belong to me, you will not talk to any boy who I do not know, if you speak to one it won't end up so good for them, you're mine, understood?" He asked and I just looked into his chocolate brown eyes but looked away as soon as his grip tightened again. "You're hurting me," I said softly and his eyes softened and he let go quickly and grabbed my hand and massaged my wrist, shivers ran down my spine at the touch against my skin and my heart stopped. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, do you need ice?"

What the hell? Was he not just threatening me? Y'all about bipolar.

"It's okay, I'm fine," I said and pulled away from him. "Are you sure?" He asked and I nodded. I saw Jake and Danielle walk up to us. "Is everything okay? Danielle was worried." Jay said and Austin tensed. "Who's Danielle?" He snapped and Danielle hid behind Jay and he covered her. "My girlfriend," Jay answered and Austin relaxed a bit. "Oh." He said and I looked at Danielle apologetically and she just smiled at me. "Be a good girl, remember, you're mine." He whispered in my ear and I shivered. The bell rang and I walked away after saying goodbye to my new friends. I'm his?

That's been the creepiest thing I've heard in a while. I'm not sure if I want to upset him though, he is known for dangerous fights.
