After Austin left yesterday I talked with my brother some more. Turns out the reason my father called was that he only has a few days left. My brother had no where to go.
They talked with my mom and she was very happy to know her son will be back with her after my father taking full custody of him. He'll be arriving today and our dad will be put into a hospital to be looked after. I love my dad only because he gave me life other than that, I don't have many reasons to love him. I'm a bitch I know.
"Are you sure you don't want to come? I'm sure Austin won't mind." I told Danielle who was stuffing her face with pizza we ordered yesterday. "I'm sure. Shawna convinced her mom to let her skip school today to be with me. Now go! Your date is waiting!" I rolled my eyes. "We're not going on a date," I told her again and she shrugged.
"If you say so..." She said trailing off. The doorbell rang and I opened the door and I saw Austin. "Bye Danielle!" I heard her say bye then closed the door. "So how come your father and brother decide to contact you after twelve years?" Austin asked me and I shrugged. "My father is dying in a few days and my brother is coming to live with us," I told him nonchalantly. "And your father dying doesn't bring sadness to you?" He asked and I shook my head.
A part of me knows that's a lie and I didn't accept it. He made sure to at least send a birthday card saying happy birthday every birthday. He showed me how to be tough when I was young, He's the reason I can throw a good punch. He paid for all my self-defense classes as I was growing up. He sent money for my mom and me when We were almost losing the house. He cared for us. If he didn't care for my mom then it was for me. I love that even if I ignored his calls when I was eight through thirteen he never gave upon us. But when I found out he was seeing another woman I got jealous. I thought the woman would steal the little but of him, I had left from me. So me being a dumb fourteen-year-old I decided I would say he's dead, and I did.
"You okay?" Austin asked softly and I nodded normally. "Why wouldn't I be?" I asked and he shrugged.

We arrived at the hospital after getting her a small gift and went to the girl's room. We knocked and her mother answered the door. She hugged both of us and we smiled kindly at her. We looked Janeth who was on the bed. A smile spread on her lips at the sight of us. Her eyes lit up and I wanted to cry. "Hey, Janeth!" I said and held her in my arms.
"You guys came!" We nodded down at her. "Happy birthday! Officially a teen." Austin and she nodded. "Another year." She said with a soft smile now. "Well here's your birthday gift." Austin handed her a bag and she opened the bag. We got her a necklace and a stuffed bear since she said she loved stuffed animals to death. The necklace had a heart-shaped pendant. Inside was a picture of her and her family we found with her mom. And on the other side was a picture of Austin, Janeth, and me together. On the front, it had words engraved into it that said:
We love you, we have faith in you.
We know you can pull through all of this.It wasn't just talking about her cancer situation but also her whole life. It actually means that she can pass any obstacle that was placed in her path.
She smiled and hugged us. "Thank you guys so much!" Tears filled her eyes and some fell out and I wiped them away carefully. "You're welcome."

We were now on our way to my house since Shawna and Danielle called saying my brother had an arrived and looking hotter than the Sun. Shawna's words, not mine. "Are you happy?" Austin asked and I nodded quickly. I was practically jumping in my seat. When he pulled up to my driveway I didn't wait for him to finish parking the car I jumped out and ran in my house. I saw Xander talking with a crying Sarah. "Xander!" I yelled and tackled him to the floor my arms wrapped around him. "Hey, Alma," Xander said with a pained groan. "I'm so happy!!" I missed you so damn much!" I yelled and he chuckled. "I missed you too sunshine." His nickname for me.
