Alma

I groaned as I looked at everyone staring from me to Austin then back at me. "You guys stop staring," I muttered. Xander rolled his eyes and muttered something I didn't hear. "You should just talk to him," Shawna whispered to me pretty loud if you asked me. I looked at the back of Austin's head who was surprisingly paying attention to the teacher. I smiled a little remembering the day I told him he has to pay more attention to his teachers and he promised he would.

"I- I can't," I said softly. Danielle frowned at me. "When will you admit that you have feelings for him?!" She whispers yelled. Before I could answer the teacher yelled. "Girls, Mr. Marsha! Would you like to tell us what's so important?" Shawna stood up from her desk. "Well, ma'am I would if I trusted you all but everyone would make it a rumor-" I pulled her down before she could finish her sentence. "Detention!" Shawna gets up and grabs the slip then walks back to her seat and sits down. "I'm confused okay?! I don't know if I have feelings for him. I don't know." I whispered to Danielle and Shawna trying to show my frustration and sadness in my quiet whisper.

Detention

I sit up when I hear the door of the detention room open. "The principle needs Alma Marsha," Marcus said walking in the room. Shawna ditched detention so I was the only student here. "For the rest of the time or will she be coming back?" The teacher asked in a pleading tone. "For the rest of the time, sir." Relief filled the teacher's eyes and he nodded. I grabbed my things and practically ran to Marcus. "What does she need me for?" I asked quickly. "Nothing, I just got you out of detention little lady." I smiled up at him. "Thanks!!" I said and he nodded. I walked to my locker and saw a paper fall out but didn't think much of it.

"Don't litter!" I looked at him weirdly. "Not even three minutes ago you dropped a gum wrapper on the floor!" I said and he shrugged. "So? Just pick it up." He said and I groaned. "It's too far," I whined and he sighed. He grabbed it and picked it up. He placed it in my hands and I walked to the trash can. "No! Stop you idiot read the damn paper!" I looked at him strangely and looked at the paper. "Marcus, it's blank," I said in a genuinely worried tone. "How the fu-" He marched towards me and snatched the paper from me. "Oh." He looked at the blank paper and frowned. He dropped it in the trash can and dragged me back to my locker. "Open it." He demanded. "But I just-" "Just do it." He interrupted and I sighed. I entered my combination and opened the small door. Marcus grabbed a folded paper and opened it. "Found it."He muttered and gave me it. I grabbed it and closed my locker and I read it.

I know I'm an asshole and I know I made you feel hurt so let me make it up to you, go to where it all started

-Austin

To where it all started? To where we met? That was in the library in the first year of high school. I was looking for a book when I found him sitting in a corner on his phone. It's where he teased me for the first time and where my small amount of hatred at the time grew. "The library, "I told Marcus and he nodded and followed me. "Shouldn't I be the one to apologize? I'm acting selfishly." I said and Marcus shrugged.

Once we arrived at the library I went inside and all the way to the same spot. I found a note where Austin was sitting last time and read it. "Let me show you I truly care. Go to where I caught you changing." I read quietly to myself.

I rolled my eyes and went to the locker rooms. I picked up another note. "Okay, now find five more notes in here to get to you to your final destination." I read again. I huffed and looked all around. Once I found them I read them in order.

Voila! Another note!

What the heck?

Everyone stares when you come into the room because of your beauty.

You look really cute when you're confused. Just saying.

I smiled a little.

Oh wow. I love that smile of yours

I laughed quietly.

U can find me under the "adventure" section in the library.

I walked back to the library to find another note.

Cool! Now look at the first letter of each note and what does it spell? Don't look at the first letter of this one though

I look at each letter and it spelled:
I love you.
I smiled a little.

I turned and Austin was staring there.

"Uh- hi." He said quietly. "Hi." I breathed out. "I'm sorry I got mad, I know I shouldn't really expect you to like me back I mean, me? Who would-" I raised my hand up. "You shouldn't be apologizing. I should. I was rude and cold and I'm being selfish on not thinking about you and don't say who would ever like you because trust me. You're an awesome guy. You truly are but there are a lot of other girls out there who actually deserve you." I said and I know I didn't deserve him but there was a part of me who wanted him to ask me to be his girlfriend so I could say yes but I knew it couldn't happen. "I don't care if there are any more girls out there. The only girl in my world is you. You. I love you more than a friend and I understand that you don't love me the same way but I will not give up on you. I'm just saying this right now though, beautiful if you don't give me your heart Ima steal it." He placed his hand on my cheek making me face him. Then, at that moment, I knew I loved him the same way He loved me. What's standing in my way then? That stupid feeling that haunts me since my last relationship.

Fear.
