"Are you ready?" I jumped and turned around. "No. I'm scared what if I loose Austin too?" I asked Xander and he shook his head. "You need to forget that. None of it was your fault." He whispered and hugged me. "I'll tell him what my past is, I have to. I'm done trying to stay away from him." I said and he nodded. "Good, he's actually a really good guy, I aprove of him." He said with a smile. "Let's just hope mom and dad do too." I said and he chuckled at the mention of dad. He went crazy when he found out that Sarah had a boyfriend and he's coming over for dinner tommorow night. "I suggest you tell him him before Austin-" We heard the doorbell ring and I ran downstairs. I opened the door to see Austin. "Austin, what are you doing here?" For once I really wish my dad wasn't an AP Reading teacher. "Mr. Hernandez?" Austin asked looking from me to dad. "Austin, meet my dad. Dad, meet the guy who's taking me out on a date." My dad frowned. "Who else? Danielle too?" He asked and just then Marcus arrived. "That's for me, love you dad!" Danielle ran by us but my dad cought her. "Nope." He said popping the 'p'. "What are you to her?" My dad asked Austin. "Mr. Hernandez, we've been friends for a while and decided to try the date thing." Austin answered and he looked thoughtful. "You're coming to our house for dinner tomorrow night, invite your sister since she already is carrying my grandchild." My dad said, smiling at the mention of Shawna. "Alright." Austin said. "What are you to her?" My dad asked Marcus now. "I'm her boyfriend sir." My dad looked mean. Very mean. "You two come in, we'll have a chat before you two leave. Alma get going before I call you in too." I grabbed Austin's arm and ran to his bike. Wait, a motorcycle? "Oh come on." I groaned and he smirked. "Come on you'll be fine." I raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh I know, I just groaned because my jeans are hella tight today." I said and he chuckled and got on. "You'll be fine." He said and I jumped on after him.

"Austin shut up!" I yelled as he kept laughing. "I told you they were tight!" I whined and it just made him laugh harder. I walked away from him and leaned against a wall. I took off the flannel I had and wrapped it around my waist. Now I'm cold. "Hey, why so sad?" I jumped and looked up. It was a guy, his hair was curly and he had glasses on. He was okay, not the best looking guy. "I'm not sad, just waiting for a friend to catch up." I answered with a small smile. "Boyfriend actually." Austin said, his voice deep and sounding scary.

"Oh. Well take care of your girl man. Nice to meet you. I'm Avery." He said and shook my hand. "Alma. Nice to meet you too." He nodded and walked away. "You attract guys way too much." Austin muttered and walked me to a store. We walked inside and I kept trying my best to cover my jeans that were currently ripped. "Size?" He asked and I didn't tell him. He rolled his eyes and got behind me. I felt him grab the top of my jeans and fold it. I squealed and jumped away from him. "I just looked at the tag." He pecked my lips then grabbed some stretchy pair of jeans and threw them at me. "The changing room is right there. Hurry, we're not even half way to where I want to go." Austin pointed at the dressing rooms. The only reason we stopped was becuase the bike was running out of gas and we had to stop to refill. When I got off Austin began laughing and I figured out why. "Alma, I'll be outside getting gas take this, pay when your done." Something fell on my head then to the floor. "Alright!" I said and grabbed the wallet. I put it down and then changed quickly. I slipped my shoes on after and grabbed the wallet. I left my jeans then looked in the wallet. Ten dollars. I smiled a little then frowned. He's broke. These jeans are not ten dollars. I looked around the store and there was no cameras near me. I was the only person here and no one saw us grab clothes...
What? No! But I don't want to waste the only ten dollars he has. Fuck...

I walked casually towards the cashier. "Nothing interested you tonight?" He asked me and I shook my head. "I was just looking around anyways, have a good night!" I smiled at him and he waved back. I went outside and ran towards Austin who was already on his bike. "Drive." I muttered as I got on. "What?" He asked. "Go! Go!" I saw the cashier getting out and Austin started the bike and drove off.

We were very close to where we were supposed to go. Where we were was a river. "Why so hurried back there?" He asked me. I handed him his wallet and he opened it. "What did you pay with?" He asked me. "I didn't. "I said and he smirked. He then began clicking his tongue. "Bad girl, you need to be tought a lesson." He said and got closer to me. He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. He kissed me as if it was the last kiss we would ever share and that honestly scared me.

"Are you okay?" Austin asked me softly and I nodded. "I'm just scared to loose you." I whispered and the corners of his mount lifted a little. "You won't loose me." He whispered back. We walked through a bunch of trees and then Austin stopped all of a sudden. "What's wrong?" I asked quietly. "Do you want to see something sad?" Austin and I wanted to say no, I mean who wants to see something sad on their date? "Sure." I whispered and he began walking in a different direction. We were out of the river zone and into a small forest. We then got to a clearing. We kept walking though. We passed a few more places and then got to a grave yard. "My dad's, along with a girl's graves are here." His voice sounded so miserable and I felt so bad, my heart dropped. I felt as if someone was stabbing me multiple times. He told me to follow him and we got to a grave. "Meet Dianne. She was my girlfriend from a long time ago. Seven years to be exact." Well then, like I want to know about your ex- girlfriend on our date. He frowned and then looked up at me and smiled. "I was hella young when she dated me." He chuckled then took me to another grave.

A loving father, husband, and brother.

Austin's eyes were watery and a tear slid down his cheek. I quickly wiped the tear and hugged him. "It was my fault Alma." He muttered and I shushed him. "It wasn't." I whispered and he then took me back to the clearing. "Let's just sit here." Austin said and I nodded. We sat down on the floor. I looked up. "Wow. It's beautiful." I saw Austin nod from the corner of my eyes. "Well, let's get this over with." I said and faced Austin. "Right, me first. What do you want to know?" He asked and I looked down at my hands. I didn't know. "How did you become you?" I asked hin and he smiled a little at my question. "I was fifteen five years after the death of that girl I loved. I was still sad and I had turned to drugs and alcohol.

One night I left the house with a pack of beer and three ciggerates. I was walking to nowhere, just walking. My dad found me when I had stopped. I was sitting in an alley drinking beer and three guys came up to me. They asked for my money. They said they would kill me if I didn't have money. My dad yelled at them to leave me alone. They had guns. My dad tried helping and he fought them but they finally got tired. Each of them shot him once. Then ran." He paused. He wasn't looking at anything in particular, as if he was remembering what had happened to his dad. "I got him to the hospital. He was fine for an hour. He said his good byes and we said ours. Then he passed away. Then I became a jerk, blocking everyone out. Then you came along, cute short girl who drove every boy at school crazy." He said and finished off with a sad smile. His story wasn't such a big hit to me. It disappointed me. I liked hearing problems of other people because they make me think that their problems or past are like the worst thing in life. Austin though made me think that his was jut another story, as if that's the way he thought of it. "My turn." I said and cleared my throat softly. "Why are you scared of a relationship." Because I killed my last boyfriend.
