I woke in the tent which Elise and I slept. Jordan slept on her own and Leo slept in a nearby tree. His reason: he was claustrophobic. I found it kinda ridiculous. The group had made a meal out of a few cooked squirrel that Daryl killed and eggs that Patricia had given us. I sat next to Lori and Elise that morning.

"How's your morning?" I asked Lori.

"Fine. Just fine. And you?" Lori replied.

"Actually pretty good. The first, in a long time, that I got some decent sleep." I said.

That was actually a total lie. Nightmares lingered in my dreams, wether happy or not. But I figured I could say something that could lighten our spirits.

"Never thought I'd say this but... This squirrel is actually pretty good." Jordan said followed by a small giggle.

"Well get used to it, little missy, cause me and my little brother are gonna give you squirrel as often as we can." Merle said to Jordan.

"Don't call me 'little missy' again or I'll hit you." Jordan warned.

Merle scoffed and say, "You think you could beat me in a fight?"

"I never said that." Said Jordan lowly.

"Will you two stop threatening each other and eat?" Rick scolded them.

Merle and Jordan just rolled their eyes and took a final bite out of their squirrel.

"I think I'm going to go for a walk for a little bit." Elise said.

"I'll join you," I said shortly after.

Everybody stared at me, noticing how quickly I responded.

"To... Protect her. So she'll be safe," I said, awkwardly.

"I guess I'll go too," Jordan said.

We nodded and finished our breakfast. The three of us stood and began our walk. I put my pistol in my left pocket and kept my knife in my right. I'll keep the gun in it's most convenient place.

"Stay safe, you three." Lori said.

We nodded and walked out onto the field I kicked each rock I found.

"I hate this." Jordan said hatefully.

"Hate what?" Elise asked.

"This. This world. There is no music, no celebrities, no love." She replied.

"Your wrong about love. There is still love." I stated, firmly.

"Prove it." Jordan spat.

Elise knew what I was doing. Elise and I stood, hand in hand, looking at her.

"Well nobody loves me." Jordan said with sadness in her eyes.

"You just need to find the right person, that's all." Elise said to her.

Jordan smiled lightly and looked at us.

"You two are good friends." She said to Elise and I.

My heart felt oddly warm. It was a kind of happiness that I've not felt in a long time. An odd sound from the forest interrupted the moment. We all looked in the same direction. A boy, seemingly our age, emerged from the forest. Mud had dried on his skin and his clothes were torn.

"Please help me." He gasped.

Rick and Hershal questioned the boy. They had agreed that he could stay as long as he helped around the camp. I had not gotten a chance to meet him though because he spent an odd amount of time with Jordan. At the moment I was with Lori and Carl in the room that Sophia slept.

"Hershal was able to heal Sophia's wound." Carl informed me.

"He is a good man. We owe him a lot." Lori stated.

I nod and sat by Sophia. Her eyes had fluttered open and looked directly at me.

"Logan," She said.

"Sophia, how are you feeling?" I ask her.

"I'm fine. Hershal said I'd be up in a few days," Sophia stated.

I nod and smile at her. The boy and Jordan came in and stood by Sophia.

"This is the girl that was shot?" He asked.

"Yes. Sophia." Jordan said.

"Who shot you?" He asked Sophia.

"That'd be me." I raised my hand.

"What do you have against girls?" He asked me.

That was a stupid question to ask. Didn't Jordan tell him? I had no choice.

"She would have died if I hadn't done what I did." I stated.

"That's debatable." He said.

"Hey, Luke. I think Rick wanted to see us," Jordan said, noticing my anger towards Luke.

"'Kay" Luke shrugged.

Lori, Carl, Sophia and I all exchanged looks.

"He doesn't take a hint, does he?" I said aloud.

We all kinda laughed at that.

"Maybe he just doesn't get it. He never saw what happened." Lori stated.

I nod. I've always liked Lori. She was a kind and warm person and she always got me. She understood what kind of person I am.

"Walker!" Andrea shouted from outside.

I ran out. Rick and a few others ran towards the staggering figure in the distance. Andrea got into position to shoot.

"Andrea, no!" I yelled.

And in a single shot, Andrea hut the figure that was so far away.

"Yes," Andrea whispered in triumph.

"No! No!" Rick shouted in fury.

And so came in Rick, dragging Daryl back, who's head gushed blood onto the soft grass.
