"I'm going to go and look through the town," I informed them.
"Let us come with you," Carl demanded.
I looked to Jordan. She shrugged and took out her knife.
"Well, fine," I said. "Let's go."
This town was clearly abandoned. The dust here thickened by the day.
"Look," Jordan whispered, pointing to an old hospital.
It looked as it the hospital would fall apart. Vines spiralled up the walls on the outside and on the inside lay shattered glass.
"Avoid the glass. We don't want to attract unwanted attention," I whispered.
We slowly and carefully avoided the shattered glass on the floor. We continued down the hall and found a room that had tons of pain killers, cough drops, aspirin...
"We just hit the gold mine," I say with a positive attitude.
"Ah!" Cried Carl.
He had bumped into a cart which rolled down the hallway, causing it to fall on the shattered glass and making several buckets of paint fall onto the ground and spill. Red, green, purple and blue covered the ground we stood on.
"Shhh!" I hissed.
We stood silently. I began hearing shuffling steps from up above. Walkers had already came in through the front door.
"Run!" I shout.
Jordan took Carl's hand and we ran. We had no choice but to risk bringing more walkers by smashing a window. I failed to smash it with just my fist.
"Watch out!" Carl ordered.
The the shot of his gun, the window shattered and we jumped out. Walkers now came from our sides and I had no choice but to grab hold of the pole that told children to be careful and push walkers away.
"Go!" I yelled.
Jordan and Carl ran, as I told. A single walker had grabbed the back of my shirt and attempted to pull me back into the building. I used my knife to slash it's hand off and I fell onto the ground. I rushed past the legs of the undead and stood back up. Now I had about a dozen walkers behind me. I pushed their arms away from me and ran faster than I ever had. I looked back and the entire side of the building collapsed, crushing half of the walkers that tried to rip me open. By now, Jordan and Carl were nowhere to be seen. I looked in every direction. But I had no time to think about it since walkers were just behind me. I retreated into the forest and confused the walkers by passing by many trees. I lost a few of them. Now only about five were behind me. I drove my knife into each of their skulls and continued to run. But I ran into something, a dark figure. Hands came down on me and for some odd reason, I could not see. My body went numb and I felt no hands nor pain. I felt vibration. I was in a truck.

I could not entirely see. I saw small images out one of the windows. First I saw a few armed people on some sort of barrier. Then I saw lit torches. But then my vision darkened again. I felt myself being moved. Then a sharp object was put into me, then taken out, then another was put in. I felt light-headed suddenly, and my eyes closed once again.

I woke in an oddly soft bed. Something I hadn't found myself in since around a year or two ago.
"Where am I?" I managed to say.
I was incredibly weak. I could hardly lift me hand into the conditioned air.
"You are in Woodbury," A man with a strong, firm voice replied.
My mouth failed to say any more.
"Do not worry. You are safe here. When you are able to get up, meet me in my home across the street," He said.
