So in the end I'll be what I will be. No loyal friend was ever there for me. Now we say, goodbye. We say, you didn't try.

Kailey was ignoring me so she could spend more time with Milton the doctor. Michonne had left Woodbury without me. The Governor and a few others left for something. So now I was just wondering the streets, staring at the ground while thinking.

"Lost something?" A girl asked from up in a tree.

"Uh, no. Just walking," I replied.

She jumped down from the tree and looked at me.

"I'm Katlynn," She says.

"Hello, Katlynn. I'm Logan," I say with a smile on my face.

"You got any friends?" She asks.

"I don't know anymore," I mumble.

"It's okay, cause I'll be your friend," Katlynn reassured.

"Erm, ok," I say awkwardly.

Katlynn and I had been climbing trees, laughing, and just plain hanging out for hours. She might be the first real friend I've made since the apocalypse. At the moment, we were sitting on the rooftop of my apartment building.

"Do you think the world will ever go back to normal?" Katlynn asked me.

"No. Neither will we. After seeing friends, family, even complete strangers being torn apart, we can never be who we were," I state.

"Oh," She said sadly.

"But that doesn't mean we can't find a safe place to live in for the rest of our lives. We could live the rest of our lives in Woodbury and pretend like nothing happened," I reassured her.

"Pretending does not make the memories go away," Katlynn said grimly.

I sighed and looked at her.

"I think The Governor is back!"

We rushed down the roof and ran to The Governor. He stood atop a truck with a grim expression on his face.

"We went to the prison. But they did not want to compromise, they fired at us instead," The Governor said.

"What did you do then?" A Woodbury man asked.

"We had no choice but to fire," The Governor stated.

My jaw dropped.

"So begins the war between Woodbury and the Prison. Everybody able to use a gun must meet with me tomorrow morning," The Governor announced.

He jumped off of the truck and began walking away.

"Governor! Governor! You have to stop this!" I shout at The Governor.

"No. If the Prison wants to fight, that's what they are getting," The Governor replied.

"But-"

"No 'buts'. Your either with us, or with them," The Governor said.

"With you, of course," I say to him.

And so he handed me a shotgun.

Citizens of Woodbury were in trucks with weapons in hand. Katlynn and I stood, side by side.

"It'll be fine," She reassured me.

"Now!" The people roared.

We all ran into the prison. I was forced to go into the tombs and search for the Prison group there. But screams, not battle cries, filled the air. We had ran into a trap. A walker grabbed my arm and I tripped over a lifeless corpse. It tried to rip me open but Katlynn's knife came down and slashed it's head in two.

"Come on!" She took my arm and we ran.

The faster people pushed past us and almost knocked us over. Once we were outside, the people of Woodbury had already fled. Their vehicles drove away without Katlynn and I. As i stumbled over Shane's body, a gun was fired in my direction. Luke was behind us. I rolled over to avoid the next bullet and I took out my gun as quickly as possible and fired at him. He fell to the ground and did not move afterwards. The walkers came out from the prison and forced us to retreat into the forest. It was not long until we had lost the walkers. Katlynn stopped in fear and held me tight as if expecting death. Carl held a gun and had it aimed towards us.

"Carl... Carl, it's me..." I say.

Jordan, Hershal, and Beth came out from behind a rock and Carl lowered his gun.

"You two alright?" Jordan asked us.

"Yeah," I replied.

"Come on. Were going back to the prison," Hershal stated.

Rick and the others allowed us to stay. I avoided eye-contact with Elise.

"So are those people gone now?" Sophia asked.

"Sophia, honey, can you go and play with your doll in your cell?" Carol said.

Sophia responded with a nod and went to her cell.

"All of us, let's head out. The Governor's not gonna stop, and we need to end this. Carol, you can stay here with Sophia. Come on, let's go," Rick said.

We drove towards Woodbury bit stopped when we saw something rather odd.

"Get out, and have your guns ready," Rick told us.

Once we were closer, I saw that there were piles of bodies. The vehicles had bullet holes in them. There were a few walkers gnawing on the flesh of one of the people. I shot them out and observed the scene. When somebody popped up in one of the vehicles, it made me jump.

"The Governor... He did this," She muttered.

***********************************************

The woman we found brought us back to Woodbury.

"What happened?" A man demanded of the woman.

"The Governor killed them all."

"Why are you with them?" He asked.

"They... Saved me," She replied.

We walked into Woodbury and the man held a gun against my chest.

"What are you doing here?" He asked us.

"We thought she might've liked a ride over here," Rick said.

He paused for a moment and said, "And thought that maybe the people of Woodbury would like a new home.

So everybody in Woodbury came back with us in buses. They quickly made a home in the prison. Now that we had Woodbury's food and ammunition supplies, we could keep it a lot safer.

I stood by the fences of the prison and looked out towards the roads.
