Its where my demons hide. It's where my demons hide. Don't get to close, it's dark inside... It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide.

IMAGINE DRAGONS- DEMONS lyrics

_______________________________

Once I stepped out onto the nicely paved streets of Woodbury, the first person I saw was Kailey.

"Logan!" Kailey cried.

She threw her arms around me and leaked tears of happiness on my shoulder. Michonne came shortly after, but was not in a happy mood.

"What's wrong, Michonne?" I ask her.

"They took our weapons," She whispered angrily.

I pressed my hand to the pocket of which I had my pistol. It was gone.

"Woodbury seem safe enough for you?" The man I talked with earlier asked me.

"Yeah," I say, noticing Michonne's discomfort.

"Well, maybe you'll make Woodbury your permanent home? Were always welcoming new people," He said.

"I didn't catch your name," I stated.

"Just call me The Governor," He nodded in conclusion and walked away.

I looked at Kailey who seemed quite content about Woodbury.

"You can share a room with Michonne and I. Come on," Kailey said.

**Later**

I was woken by a knock at the door.

"One second!" I whispered loud enough to keep Kailey and Michonne asleep.

I quickly put on the most convenient pieces of clothing and opened the door to answer to the knock.

"The Governor would like to speak with you now," A man said.

I took a quick glance at the alarm clock in the corner of the room and replied, "At six in the morning?"

"No questions. Just do it,"

As he left, I rolled my eyes and put on some shoes. The torches on the street lit the path to The Governor's house. With the knock on the door, he let me in and began making coffee. Yet another luxury at Woodbury.

"Sugar?" He asked.

I nodded in response and thanked him as he set it down in front of me.

"So, you wanted to speak with me?" I say.

"Yes," The Governor replied. "I wanted to ask if you had a group before you got here."

"Of course. I could never survive on my own," I stated.

"Do you know where they are?" The Governor asked.

"Prison," I replied after taking a sip from my coffee.

"How many people?" He wondered.

"Thirteen, maybe," I guessed.

"Thirteen people cleared out that entire prison? How many are combat experienced?" The Governor asked.

"Well, Rick and Shane were policemen. Merle used to be military. A few others can shoot. Then the rest are kids my age," I stated.

"Astounding..." The Governor muttered.

I finished my coffee just as the sun rised. I thanked The Governor for the coffee and went back to the apartment. I think I was starting to like it here...
