The streets of Ender looked much darker than usual, the air cold and crisp just as uncomfortable as the eerie noises of the empty street.

It was pitch black outside, I was in complete and utter darkness, all expect for the moon, my only source of light.

As I walked further down the street the scenery changed to that of a forest. I almost laughed at my misfortune. Go into the creepy forest, or turn back into the dead silent street, my options weren't pleasurable at all.

I sighed and continued on the path into the forest. My barefeet slapped against the pavement as I winced due to the leftover gravel stabbing at my toes.

As I entered the thick forest I saw mist slowly seep between the trees. I walked towards it hearing only dead leaves crunch under my feet. I could smell dew and a hint of mint in the air as I walked deeper and deeper into the forest. The further I went the thicker the tree trunks became. Oak trees, Apple trees, Sycamore trees, all grew close to one another bent into weird shapes. I walked up to a willow tree in the center of the forest and reached out to touch it, that's when I heard voices and footsteps coming towards me.

Panicked I searched for a place to hide and rushed behind a large tree trunk slumping down. I pulled my legs to my chest and tried to control my pounding heart. The footsteps approached just as I heard the voices grow louder.

"She's not here." A deep voice said.

"She has to be. Where else could she be? She's hiding, I know it." A slightly higher voice replied.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are." The sultry high voice called. I stilled as my breaths started coming out short and ragged.

"I smell her." The deep voice said.

"I do too. I'm sure she'll be...ever so much fun." The deeper voice spoke again.

"She will be, especially if she's been marked by Death."

Suddenly an arm grabbed the back of my shirt and yanked me away from the tree. I was dragged across the forest floor as I struggled to break free, and thrown at the foot of a man.

"Nice work S."  The sultry voice said.

"I try."  The one named S replied. Slowly S leaned down and crouched Infront of me. He reached for my chin and lifted my head ever so slightly his eyes meeting mine. I gasped.

"YOU!" I spat. It was his him. The one who caused my accident.

But...if this was Sebastian, then that meant that....

Mali.

I looked past Sebastian to see a beautiful sun kissed girl standing behind him. I tilted my head to get a better view of her and she moved within my line of sight.

Mali was wearing a long floor length dress. It was pure white which stood out in the very green and vibrant forest. The sleeves of the dress looked to be silk as they were casually draped over her arm reaching the tips of her elbow. With red shoes peeking out from the bottom, the dress completely hid her legs as it fell in small ruffles. My gaze traveled upwards to her face as my eyes connected with her warm baby brown ones, similar to her glowing, even radiant skin. What really caught my attention however, was her jet black hair. It was let loose in uncontrollable curls, that effortlessly fell down her neck. She pursed her plump lips, before slowly curling them into a menacing smile.
