Amaryllis Roman

"I should probably go downstairs..."

"You know so my mom doesn't think I'm dead." I said as I snuggled further into Death's chest.

He chuckled.

"Michaels here. I don't think she'll notice."

I frowned. Micheal was here?

"How long was I out for?" I asked yawning.

"4 hours, 20 minutes, 39 seconds in counting." I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks smartass."

"I aim to please." He said tightening his arm around my waist.

I'd have to say this was probably the best sleep I'd gotten in a really long time.

"Micheal is nice." I said softly.

"He's a saint Amaryllis. He won't hurt her." I looked up at him.

"And how, pray tell, do you know that? He could be a murderer or psychopath!" I exclaimed frantically.

Death sighed, "He's golden, I swear I've checked!"

I scrunched my nose, what?

"You did a backround check on my moms boyfriend?" He shrugged not even denying it.

"I had to make sure he wasn't crazy." He said non-chalantly, I laughed playfully hitting his chest.

I guess having someone who can check up on these sorts of things is nice, once in a while.

"You're the crazy one." I said sitting up. Death smiled as he ran his hand up and down my arm.

"Crazy? I prefer partially insane. In any case I find myself partially insane for you." I sucked in a breath as his intense gazed locked onto my lips.

Blushing I turned my head away, and anxiously pulled at my hair. I could never control my reactions when I was around him.

"Let's go on a date." He said suddenly rising. My smile faltered.

"A date? Wha-now?.." I trailed off.

"Death we...we can't right now, there's too much that needs to be done, needs to be to talked about, what with Mali, and Cha-"

"Stop." He said grabbing my flailing arm.

"Tonight." He said sternly.

"We'll discuss everything tonight. Let's just have this day. This one day for us."

"But Mali and S-."

"Screw them. One date Lissa. One date."

I shook my head. "We can't afford to waste time."

Death grabbed the side of my face and pulled me in his direction. We were less than an inch away as he stroked my cheek.

"I'm trying Lissa, really trying, you told me to make an effort, so let me, forget the slight supernatural inconveniences-."

I smirked, "Almost being murdered on multiple occasions is a slight inconvenience?"

He gave me a disapproving look, "You know what I mean."

I was silent for a few moments, until finally, I caved.

"Ok." I said.

Death grinned as he kissed my nose and shuffled off of the bed.
