A/N: There are foreign phrases in here (Italian) so, unless you can read Italian, here are the translations;
Buongiorno - Good Afternoon
Come stai? - How are you?
Non c'è male - Not bad.
Che cos'è? - What's that?
Ma, che sei grullo? - You think I'm stupid?

And that's basically it! Hope y'all enjoy this really awfully written one-shot. Don't judge me, I wrote it so late 😂💕

"Where was the last time you saw her?" Steve asked Tony over the burner phone that he had mailed to him a few weeks earlier. Tony took a sharp breath in, "The day after you and Barnes flew to Siberia. That's the last that I ever saw of her. I don't know whether or not she just completely left the facility.." Steve groaned in frustration, knowing Natasha, she would've fled somewhere far from Stark's reach. He cut the line between him and Tony and threw the burner phone across the room.

He was gonna search for her. And there was no way anyone could stop him from going

Asking Stark to find her whereabouts was certainly the last thing in his mind. After the phone call with him a few days ago, he needed not to hear his voice and he certainly didn't trust him enough for any help at all.

Instead, he asked Clint if he could help him track Natasha down.

"Sure, Cap," Clint agreed, without any sign of hesitation. "For all I know, Nat must be running away because of fear,"

Steve stared at Clint, looking the slightest bit confused. "Fear?"

Since when is Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, running away because of something she had been blessed with; Fear?

"I know what she did to you and Barnes, Cap. No matter how much she agreed with Stark, her promise with you remained. She has very deep respect for you."

How could've he have been so blind?

There were so many signs. Signs that showed Natasha always cared.

Peggy's post funeral.

The phone-call in Vienna.

Shooting T'Challa at the airport.

Shaking all these thoughts out of his head, Steve asked Clint for more information, regarding where Natasha could be hiding.

"All I know is, I don't know. Nat could be hiding in the Pyramids of Egypt or in the frozen oceans of Antartica. She's real sneaky, even I can't find her that easily." Clint hesitated to say but, Steve understood what he meant.

He creased his forehead and nodded.

"Well, let's make sure we find her sooner than later." With that, the Captain directed a nod to Clint and left the room.

Of course, finding the Black Widow herself was extremely difficult. But, it wasn't impossible.

In the busy streets of Sicily, Natasha Romanoff - now with pale blonde hair - swiftly marched from the fruit markets, all the way to the other side of the road.

In her hands, she had bags filled with the weekly grocery that she had bought for herself.

Two months.

Two months and she's managed to build a life away from her home, in this little island off the coast of Italy. She's managed to change her appearance, her name and even her background reputation.
