Filming the reshoots for Black Widow shouldn't have taken this long than expected and Scarlett was definitely not in for it.

"Not only do my shins, elbows and every aspect of my muscles hurt, but I miss you so much." Scarlett plopped face flat on the soft, marshmallow-like bed of her hotel room. The tension between her shoulders came to ease as she sunk deeper into the pillowy mattress.

"I miss you too. Sucks that you aren't here earlier so we can presume our holiday festivities." On the other line, Chris cuddled with Dodger, looking disappointed that Scarlett broke the promise of 'coming home early.'

Scarlett rolled over to face her phone, her chin resting on her left palm. She looked directly at Chris, with a rueful smile and sighed, "I know. But Cate promised that we'd be home for the actual holiday itself."

Dodger barked and licked the screen at the sight of Scarlett's face on Chris' laptop, making her laugh a little. Removing him from his lap and onto the ground, Chris replied, "Even Dodger is missing our Christmas movie nights."

"Tell Dodger I feel the same," Scarlett smiled sadly. "I'm gonna hit the hay, but, talk to you tomorrow?"

"Sure. Goodnight." And he hung up.

Chris rubbed his temples and watched Dodger crawl into his sleeping basket, looking all cozy. He had one eye open, directly looking at Chris.

"I know buddy, I want her home soon too."

Chris hadn't been in contact with any of his Marvel co-stars since the Endgame premiere. Sure they had their occasional small-talk conversations on their group chat, but at most, they fizzled. That's why when he enlisted the help of Ruffalo, Lizzie, Mackie and Brie, he was stunned at their unexpected agreement.

"So what exactly do you want us to do?" Mark sipped a cup of his mocha, one leg crossed over the other while he intently asked Chris about his 'master plan' on Christmas Eve.

"Suggest ideas for my Christmas Eve plan, you know, what I should do leading up to the proposal." Chris clapped his hands together whilst switching his pleading glances from one of his co-stars to the other.

Lizzie hummed while Brie looked deep in thought.

"Uhh, you could go ice skating? Or, will she be too tired...hmm..." Lizzie proposed as an imaginary light bulb lit above her head for a few seconds.

"Maybe a nice, cozy day in, you know, since she'll be totally exhausted and all. You could put on her favourite movie...ooh! You could organise a Christmas movie marathon since you missed your Christmas movie nights," Brie suggested.

Chris tilted his head towards her and smiled lopsided, "That actually doesn't sound bad!" He leaned in to listen to any other suggestions.

"I mean, do they still have the carriage rides in Central Park?" Mackie spoke up, "Those are low-key romantic, you know what I mean?"

"Oh my God, yes!" Lizzie fawned, her eyes lighting up like a Christmas tree. Brie nodded her head inaudibly, in agreement.

And Chris did too.

"Not a bad idea," He smacked his lips together before taking a sip of his latte.

"Of course not, I'm a genius," Mackie pretended to flip his imaginary hair, "And Scarlett's mind will be blown. I guarantee you."
