"Glad that's over," Bella sighed as she collapsed on the love seat next to Jacob. Nessie skipped over and sat in his lap and he kissed her cheek.

Jumelle sat beside Edward at the piano and he smiled softly at her as he began to play. Jumelle recognised the song to be the lullaby he wrote for her mother. She loved the piece of music, it was so uplifting.

Edward smiled at Jumelle once he'd finished and she grinned.

"You have to teach me that one day," she told him. He chuckled.

"Of course." He kissed her hair and she smiled softly. "Did you have fun meeting with your mate?" Jumelle's face dropped slightly.

"Uh ... wh-what?"

"Oh, don't act all oblivious now, Elle," Alice said from her spot on the sofa with Jasper and Emmett. "I told everybody while you and Nessie were hunting this morning."

"You what?!" Jumelle cried. She buried her face in her hands. Edward carefully pried them away and took her face between his hands.

"We're happy, okay? We approve, of course--"

"But if he hurts you then we'll kick his ass," Emmett finished off. Jasper chuckled and Jumelle nodded as Edward let her face go. He ruffled her hair and stood up.

"Hungry, girls?"

"Yeah!" Nessie piped up.

"Wait, no, let me guess ... grilled cheese sandwiches?" he mused. Nessie winked.

"You got it."

Edward headed to the kitchen to make Nessie and Jumelle some grilled cheese sandwiches and Jumelle decided to head to the cottage and put away the lingerie sets Alice had bought her. Rosalie had been decent enough to buy her some clothes to wear over them, and a new pair of converse.

"Where are you going?" Bella asked as Jumelle headed out the door. Jumelle held up the bags of clothes.

"Putting stuff away. I'll be back in ten minutes." Bella nodded and let her go.

Jumelle was almost at the cottage when she heard a twig snap behind her. She froze midstep and stopped breathing. She could do the whole no breathing thing but only for an hour or two. She was still part human, after all, and needed to breath often.

Jumelle heard another twig snap right behind her and then somebody leapt out in front of her.

"BOO!"

Jumelle screamed and slapped Tristen in the face. He grunted at the impact and made a face before grinning.

"I got you good!" he sang. The blonde twins and younger version of Tristen from earlier that day came into view and smirked.

"So this is the mate that Mom and Dad so desperately want to meet?" one of the twins muttered. "Decent enough."

"Anne, be nice!" the other twin snapped. "I'm Marie, and this is my bitchy twin sister, Anne." Jumelle waved and the two waved back in sync.

"That still creeps me out," the younger boy grimaced. "Vincent, but the friends and family call me Vinny." Jumelle nodded and smiled at Tristen.

"Happy family, are we?" she said delightedly. He chuckled.

"Family, yes. Happy, not so much." Jumelle chuckled. "You actually did some shopping, I see." He gestured to the bags she had in hand and Jumelle shrugged.

"Not myself, per se, but yes, some shopping was done. Any luck on that essay so far?" she mused. Tristen grimaced.

"No. I suck at writing." Jumelle laughed merrily and shook her head.
