"She dreamed in color, while the world
was in grey."
••••••••
I'm the girl who dreams of fairytales, waiting for my perfect ending, for my perfect beginning, most importantly my perfect Prince Charming. And that's exactly what I had right in front of me.
                             ••••••••
Bam! He slams his door in my face, leaving me fuming on his porch. "Fine! I'll just leave!" I scream ,putting much force on the leave. "Great!" He yells back. I stomp back over to my house. Trust me, we weren't always like this. Let me take you back to the good times....
                          •••••••
"Make a wish" he whispers in my ear. I close my eyes and start to throw my penny into the fountain. Everything was perfect. I wish everything will stay the same.

I hear the coin hit the water and open my eyes, only to meet Ice blue ones staring right back at me. "You're beautiful" Paul said, as if I took his breath away. "You're handsome" I reply, wrapping my arms around his neck, falling into him, falling for him.

He wraps his arms around my waist and brings his lips in. I eagerly kiss back. He pulls back and stares at me for a while, then he takes a piece of my hair and tucks it behind my ear. "I love you" Paul says. I smile, "I love you too". He wraps his arms around me tighter and pulls me in for a hug.

"Amanda...will you go to the dance with me?" He was referring to the school dance. "Yes!" I kiss him on the cheek. This was going to be the best dance ever!
                         •••••••
This was the worst dance in the history of dances. I watch as an array of dresses spin by. Girls laughing with their dates. Dancing with their dates. And here I am sitting at one of the tables.

I can't believe he won't dance with me. You know what, I'll find someone else who wants to dance with me. As I stand up, my heels start to wobble and I fall, but strong arms catch me. I look up and meet Ice blue eyes. My heart speeds up. "We need to talk" Paul says. Those words are never good.

We sit down, it takes him a while to say whatever he was going to say. "This isn't working....we're over" suddenly everything becomes blurry, probably because of my tears. And I run, no destination in mind, I just run. Earlier today he had slammed his door in my face. Last week he seemed that he was totally in love with me. And now...now it's all over.
                              •••••••
"Amy, I'm going to see the world one day, all of it, and its going to be spectacular." I whisper to my best friend. "Yeah no more boys", she states. "Yeah" I murmur. "You know it's been a week, he's probably regretting it already" Amy says, handing me a cup of coffee and sliding down next to me.

I snort. "You know him, big ego, if he did miss me, he wouldn't admit it, he has his pride to protect." "Well, I think there's someone special out there for you." I look out the bay window, my eyes flittering over each light, over each tall building. Maybe. Maybe he is out there.
