Chapter Eleven: Swimming with the dolphins

"We have nothing to lose and a world to see."

Phillip reaches for my hand and he kisses me on the cheek, I grin. "You're really cute when you smile like that." Phillip tells me, brushing a lock of hair behind my ear. "You're pretty cute yourself too." I nudge him as we're walking.We're both grinning.

We're going out to breakfast this morning at the Egghead Cafe. Amy wanted time with Liam alone.

The Egghead Cafe blends their Hawaiian recipes with a Taiwanese inspired taste. The bottom half of the building was a dark blue and the top half was white. Phillip opens the door for me, "after you, my lady." I giggle and walk in. I feel young again.

On one of the white colored walls, in big lettering it reads, 'Smile, be an egghead.' I laugh

Phillip surprises me and wraps his arm around my waist, guiding me to a table and pulling a chair out for me. Such a gentleman. I peck him on the cheek, my lips linger for only a second, wondering when we'll have our first kiss.

I look at the menu and my eyes stray to the sandwich section. I choose the Avo-Corn and eggs, which consists of Avocado-corn spread, basil aioli scrambled eggs, parmesan garlic toast. Avocado is my favorite.

"We still have time before going to swim with the dolphins today." Phillip says, glancing at his watch. "What do you want to do?" I ask. We stop by a bench overlooking the water. "This." He says before grabbing my face with both hands, and kissing me.

I'm shocked, but I recover quickly and kiss him back. Phillip's hands move to my back and he pulls me closer. And then I remember.

"If I kiss you, would you tell me?" I laugh a little before replying, "maybe." I give a smug smile. Paul wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me in, kissing me forcefully and fiercely. His hands move up to my back and then to the back of my neck, I need him, like oxygen, I kiss him harder and more urgently. I pull back to smile at his ice blue eyes, he turns his head and whispers in my ear, "I love you Amanda." That was the first time he told me he loved me, and that was our first kiss.

No. I pull back, I look at Phillip, he's not Paul. What am I thinking? What am I doing? I see nothing in Phillip that I see in Paul, so why can't I get him out of my head? Phillip looks hurt.

I pull Phillip towards me and start kissing him, trying to kiss away Paul from my mind, trying to drown him under Phillip's lips. But it was no use.

"I can't believe we're going to swim with dolphins!" I say excitedly. Something's wrong with Amy, she smiles but it's not happy enough. "Amy are you okay?" I ask. Amy looks up, shakes her head and smiles, "I'm perfectly fine." I didn't believe her. "I'm going to go to the bathroom and change into my swimsuit." I tell her. She nods her head okay.

When I head into the bathroom, A bright pink color stands out in the trash. Is that a pregnancy stick!?

Oh my gosh! Is Amy pregnant!!? I reach in the trash and pull it out. Negative. Oh thank gosh. I drop it back in and feel a rush of relief wash over me. Amy wasn't pregnant.

"Awww they're so cute!!!" Amy exclaims over the dolphins. Her preppy happy attitude was back on track. I've chosen not to say anything to her about what I found.

"I know right!" I squeal. We were doing the Dolphin Adventure experience, which was an hour of fun time with the dolphins for $310 per person.

"So first you're going to get and know the Dolphin's unique personalities." The trainer said, and she started to introduce us to them.
