"Sometimes all you need is to break the routine and have some fun."

I ran track and cross country when I was in middle school and high school. I still run, on the sidewalks outside of my apartment to the park. Running has always been my stress reliever.

Now Amy, I give her a glance. HATES running, with a burning passion. I just don't understand why she would hate it. Running may be my stress relief but her's is painting, yoga, and breaking and entering. I'm joking!! Well not really.

We did break into that person's house to get my dog Tiger, he passed away a few years ago. He was being abused. And there also was that other time.

"Amy! This is illegal! We can go to the jail for this!" I whisper shout, my pigtails bouncing with every move. "You big baby!" Amy said, sticking her tongue out at me. "Give me a boost!" Amy said. I crouch down and she gets on my back, I bring her up to my neighbor's window. Ms.Neil was the most evil person to live. Amy wanted to break in so she could get her stuffed unicorn and jumprope back that had been thrown by the teenage boys in our neighborhood into Ms.Neil's yard. And everyone knew that Ms.Neil kept everything thrown into her yard. Amy was in the house and I was so terrified that I peed myself. Ms.Neil would yell mean things at us every time we passed by. Minutes ticked by and I grew worried. When I heard someone call my name, I nearly jumped out of my skin. "Amanda! Come in! Ms.Neil is offering us cookies!!" I crawled in through the window and saw Amy with her jumprope and unicorn under one arm and a cookie in her hand. Ms.Neil gave a sweet smile. I had felt bad for Ms.Neil. Kids throwing things into her yard, I felt bad for making fun of her with other kids.

I was only six though, I didn't know that she had only a few days left to live. I still feel bad for her on this very day. But as far as I know, those were the only times Amy has trespassed on someone's property.

I used to read about the color run all the time when I was still in my teen years. So everyone wears white, and you can run, walk, cartwheel, whatever you want to do to complete the 5k. And the crowd throws this colorful powder at you that's made of cornstarch, baking soda, and FD&C dyes.

I was glad Amy was participating in it, even though she's just going to walk the whole way. I get ready for them to start the run. Bang! I start running and I start to feel the light dusty powder being thrown at me. I keep pushing on, my feet pound onto the track, I am rushed by adrenaline rushing through my veins, pushing me harder. Running, it just feels so right for me.More colorful powder accumulates on my body. Finally I reach the finish line. I have to wait for Amy to finish. I look down at myself, I'm covered in blue, purple, yellow, pink, green, and red. And for the first time in a long time, I  let out a real genuine laugh.
