"If you get that gut feeling that something isn't right about a person or situation, trust it."

After we wash of all of the makeup off of our faces, I open the closet and take out all the blankets and pillows."What are you doing?" Amy asked as I threw them all on the floor.
"We're going to build a blanket fort." Amy smiles and joins me at my side, grabbing a blanket.
"Hey babe, what movie do you want to watch?" Paul asked me, grabbing a blanket. "How about a scary movie." He grins, "yeah, so you can hold onto me the whole time when you get scared." But he was the one holding on to me during the movie. And then mom had to wake us up because we had both fallen asleep on the couch in each other's arms.
That was Paul's favorite blanket that Amy was holding.
Come on Amanda grow up.
I shake off the thought and help Amy build the fort.
••••••••
"So what are you going to do about Paul?" Amy asks as we're laying down in the fort."I don't know yet." I answer truthfully.
I roll over on my side and prop my head up with my hand.
"Amy, can I ask you a question?" I ask her. She nods her head.
"How did you know that you loved Liam?" Amy breaks into a small grin and I can see her look back on a memory in her eyes.
"Well, I was on the cruise ship, about to call Steve, and tell him I still cared about him, and I wasn't looking at where I was going, and BAM! I slam into Liam, and we both fell, I guess you could say he swept me of my feet."
Amy smiles, a small blush forming on her cheeks.
"I didn't call Steve then, I never did. I fell in love with the way he started stuttering, and his red hair, his deep green eyes, the way he talked and laughed, the way his cheeks turned pink, and his personality. So I asked him out, he ran his hand through his hair and smiled. "Is that a yes?" I had asked, "oh, I'm sorry, yeah, I mean yes." After dinner we had walked around on the deck, it was dark out and you could see all the stars. We stopped at the railing and I said, "the stars are just so pretty." And he told me that they weren't as pretty as me. I felt my face blush and then we were laughing because he told a joke, and right in the middle of hearing him laugh, I fell in love with him."
"It was a love like Noah and Allie's. We were crazy about each other, and we still are."
Amy grins, and I smile.
"My gosh I love you." I heard Liam tell Amy at the arcade. "I love you too Liam." Amy said looking up into his eyes. You could see it on their faces that they were both totally utterly in love with each other.
"I think I might Love Paul." I whisper.
Amy gasps. "But he hurt you." "I know. Should I meet up with him?" I ask her.
Amy shrugs, "it's up to you."
I pull out my phone and go to Paul's number, the curser flashes in front of me, driving me crazy.
Me:
Sure :) I'd love to meet up!He texts back almost immediately.
Unknown number:
Great! How's tomorrow at 1 p.m. At the french cafe? :)Me:
That works for me!Unknown number:
I can't wait to see you Amanda.Butterflies flip in my stomach.
I snap my phone shut and see Amy biting her lip. "You okay?" I ask her. She nods her head yes.
"Can I braid your hair?" She asked me.
I turn my back towards her so she can braid it.
"You shouldn't ever cut your hair Amanda, it's so pretty and long and silky." She remarks, running a hand through my long brown hair.
"I wouldn't want to cut it ever." I reassure her.
"I think when me and Liam have kids, I'll cut it short so I'll look like a soccer mom. Liam played soccer! He really wants to have our kids play it." I can hear Amy smiles as she talks.
"You're going to be a great mother." I tell Amy.
"As are you."
"To be honest, I'm kind of scared to have kids. I mean, you could die or the kid could die, you have to have all those hormones, and cravings." I tell her as I feel her twist my hair as she braids it.
"But it's worth it."
"Yeah, I guess you're right. When do you think You'll have kids?" I ask her. I can feel Amy freeze but only for a split second.
"After me and Liam get married probably." She answers.
She ties my hair back with a band and we lay back in the blanket fort, resting our faces on the pillows.
"Amanda, do you know what love is?"
I shrug my shoulders.
"Love is respecting someone, and caring about them, and loving all their imperfections, it's going through obstacles together and going through all the storms together, and still come out strong. It's a friendship, a friendship that can't be broken. It's a bond, but it's a choice, you choose to love that person every day of your life. You choose them and no one else. And I think that scares me honestly, cause one day Liam could choose to stop loving me."
"Amy Liam won't ever stop loving you, trust me."
Amy starts to mumble until I hear her snore.
There goes our all nighter.
A big thanks to my best friend Peyton for coming up with the chapter name because honestly, I was gonna put 'Magic Carpet' which made no sense whatsoever.
