Michael watched the show on the screen, making it clear he would do exactly as he said he would. He had crossed his arms trying to really get into the characters and concentrate.
After awhile he did. He laughed along at the goofy jokes. They weren't that funny, but stupid enough to make him laugh.
Luke cleared his throat, while he sat crossing his legs on the couch. No reaction. Luke didn't mind, he was used to people ignoring unless he was going to say something.
"I'm going to the coffee shop."
"Okay. Wait, what time is it?"
"Three."
"Oh god. I'm going to be late. I have work at four."
"Michael, you'll be fine. Get ready, I'll take you."
"You don't need to."
"But I'll do it anyways."
Michael smiled painfully. He huffed, getting up.
-
Michael walked up to look who stood by the door way, in thirty minutes. Luke looked up, giving away a small smile.
He opened the door, allowing Michael out first, going out himself and locking it.
Michael pressed the elevator button, Luke right behind him. The elevator creaked opened, Michael quick to get in. Luke once again, was quick to scramble in after him.
It took a few minutes for it to move, then go to a few floors, before the main floor. Michael and Luke practically jumped out of the elevator.
They got outside in a few minutes, rushing to the car. Luke got in, and so did Michael. Luke got out of the parking lot, then realized he didn't know where he was going.
"Uh Michael? Where are we going?"
"Tim Hortons."
Luke didn't laugh or make a joke like he usually would, he drove.
-
Luke sat drinking coffee, checking emails again. One was from a publisher.
Dear Mr. Hemmings,
It's important you get books out. If you don't have a piece of anything to your Editor by next Monday, there will be consequences. From,
your Publisher.Luke sighed in stress. Also he felt was stress. He usually wrote what he felt. So he did that.
He opened a new document, and typed. He typed and typed. Retyped, edited, and typed again for hours.
His coffee was finished and his first chapter.
Bing
Luke shut his laptop, putting it back in his bag. He walked to a trash can, throwing away the coffee.
He exited the shop, his phone making another noise. Luke had gotten to his car, before he checked his phone.
5 missed calls
7 unread messagesLuke sighed. He checked on the miss calls first. Two from Ashton, two more from Calum, and one from Michael. All seven messages from Michael too.
Michael: I should be getting out soon
Michael: will you be able to pick me up?
Michael: or are you busy
Michael: don't mess with me Hemmings tell me
Michael: Luke!!
Michael: if you can't I can get home on my own
Michael: ok I'll stop.Luke bit his lip. He was frantic, not actually sure what to say or do. So he texted him.
Luke: hey, don't move okay. I'm going to pick you up.
Luke waited a few minutes, his phone made a noise again, showing a message from Michael.
Michael: okay.
Luke drive as he tried, so carefully but he wasn't careful enough. His knuckles turned white, as he gripped the steering wheel.
Luke got to Tim Hortons faster than expected. He saw Michael sitting on the concrete up front, his arms wrapped around his legs. I drove up to him, honking.
He flinched, jumping up and getting in.
Luke watched from the driver side. He watched Michael shiver of nothing, he watched Michael's eyes turn to one's of fear too.
Luke mumbled screw it. He let the guard he'd built up down now. The whole thing.
Luke unbuckled his seat belt. Then he took off jacket he was wearing, put it over Michael's shoulders.
"No, don't tell me you're fine. Because you're not. I can see it. You might not be thrilled with me right now, but I'm going to take care you. Fuck, I just I really love you, Okay? I'm sorry." Luke softened as he said it.
Then he buckled back up and started to drive. He barely noticed Michael hadn't resisted or objected. He thought Michael would make a huge protest, but didn't.
They arrived at the apartment, safely. To Luke's surprise, Michael had curled up inside his jacket his head leaning against the window.
Luke smiled proudly at the overly exhausted boy. He must've fallen asleep from all this sleeping without Luke.
Luke tried to wake him up, but it wasn't happening. Instead, Luke carried the lilac haired boy up to their apartment.
Luke put Michael on their bed, covering him up with blankets. He took off the jacket too.
Luke took off his shoes, getting into bed himself. Luke held Michael like he used to.
Michael shifted in his arms stirring, but Luke ran his hands through the lilac boy's hair and 'shhh'ing the boy until he went back to sleep.
-
Michael woke up, two strong arms around him holding him up to a slow heartbeat. A quiet snore from above him, made him jump and squeal quite loudly.
It woke up Luke, he stirred taking minutes to fully wake up to see Michael awake. Luke chuckled gladly at Michael's squeal.
It vibrated through Michael's ear, giving him shivers. Michael struggled to get up, from Luke's grip. Luke allowed him to go, releasing his arms from around Michael.
"Hey, Michael?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you hear what I said earlier in the um car."
"Yes."
Michael started blushing madly. He remembered Luke's speech so clearly, it hurt.
"O-oh. Sorry if it made you uncomfortable or-"
Luke was cut off by a pair of lips crashing into his, kissing him madly.
Luke smiled when they pulled away, and Michael giggled like a idiot.
"You're such a dork, Lukey. If anything, it made me happy."
It was Luke's turn to smiled so much it hurt.
A/n another update? Such wow!! lmao okay but they're back together and I'm terrible at making people fight.
I need to stop being nice but I like this because I don't think there has to be a strong person and a weak person in this relationship.
but Luke made up because he can't stand to be without his angel aka Michael aw. and Michael loves Luke case closed. move it. I'll be updating soon but I've said this before, y'all might not like me for awhile but Michael's gonna suffer soon. Okay, what do you guys think is going to happen next?
