The bag rested against his back, the cool night air hitting the skin that wasn't covered making him shiver. He walked to wherever else his feet would take him to. He had no destination or place he wanted to go, just get out of the suffocating apartment where the person he loved hated him. He needed to clear his head. His head felt like it was going to explode, swarming with the worst thoughts in his brains.

He left his mind blank, while his feet carried him to a bench. He was unaware of his surroundings until he actually looked around for the first time since he got there. It was a park; but not just any park in New York City, the park. The park where he and Luke kissed for the second time.

Michael finds the world spinning around, his head light again. The memories of everything he and Luke did flooded into his aching heart and mind. Michael smiled sadly, tears falling down his face in silent air. Michael takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself as much he could, collapsing instead. He sobbed shamelessly, shaking violently with whimpers coming out of his mouth. Never had he ever felt so weak and worthless. His heart aches for the pain to stop and his thoughts drown him in sadness. So he screams. He screams loudly and doesn't stop until he's fallen unconscious, collapsing onto the bench underneath him.

His last thought was that he'd always be alone. Always.

Luke woke up mentally tired and barely got himself out of bed. He didn't think about it much when he didn't see Michael, yet something felt wrong at the edge of his mind. Luke went into the living room, to find no Michael.

Luke just had a terrible feeling, and found himself changing as if on autopilot. Then in no time at all, he was in his car. It started raining, pounding on his car roof. Luke pouted but continued to search.

Luke saw a figure in a park, collapsed on a bench. Luke found the car parking lot, and parked his car. He got out, slamming the door shut. He cursed under his breath, the rain hit his hair and shirt violently.

Luke ran to the bench, faster than he thought he could. Once he reached it, he saw a boy that was visibly shivering. His eyes were closed, shallow breaths from his mouth. His hair is lilac-

Wait lilac? Luke gasped, he found Michael. Luke sighed shaking his head. He was tired, but Michael was important.

Luke carefully picked Michael up from the bench, careful not to wake him in any way. Michael's head rested against his shoulder, as Luke carried him to the car. He sat Michael up in the passenger seat, buckling him up, and getting in the car on the other side. Then, he drove off.

-

Michael opened his eyes, starting to sit up. He was prepared for cold clothes and a wood bench, but he found a new sweater on and sweats, and warm white blankets.

The light on the table next to the bed, was on faintly.

Michael readjusted to the surroundings, remembering this room. He was home. He wondered who brought him here, and why they would. Michael huffed, thoughts drained his energy.

Luke came through the door, a donut and water in his hand. His eyes lit up with hope, seeing Michael awake. Luke have a warm smile, handing the water over to Michael first. Once he'd gulped down quite a bit, Luke offered him the donut which Michael, accepted.

Luke looked anywhere but Michael's green eyes.

"Um I-i just leave you be..." Luke mutters.

Michael coughs. Luke starts to walk away. Michael coughs again.

"N-n-no. Y-y-you need to know the t-truth." Michael shoots back quickly.

Michael starts coughing again, his voice is still quite scratchy due to not talking.

Luke turns around to face Michael. He gives a warm smile to Michael, nodding his head.

"Okay. Whenever you're ready, come out to the kitchen."

Luke closes the door behind him, waiting patiently in a chair. Moments later, Michael is walking into the kitchen with a sad look to his face.

"Okay this is the truth."

Luke listened the whole time, giving Michael moments of silence when he was trying so hard to talk but choked on the words. Luke saw how miserable Michael was when he told the truth. How much it had affected him.

Luke's mouth was left agape half way through, but quickly closes it. His jaw tenses up anger against Ashton. He broke Michael. Luke smiles sadly, nods mostly to himself afterwards.

"I-um. Uh, Excuse me, Michael. I just need to go think. I'll be back-"

"Don't you dare say, you promise. Just don't. I can't handle losing another person like that again."

Luke nodded, leaving to go to the balcony and cool off, and think this through.
