Slowly, I walked to Mr. Delgado's office. I was in the middle of Mr. Hilton's test when he slipped me a pass telling me to see the principle. To say I was dreading this moment would be an understatement.

The brown wooden door to the office was halfway opened so I walked in and sat on one of the chairs in front of the desk. My nerves were getting the best of me causing me to rub my sweaty palms against my jeans.

Mr. Delgado looked up from his computer and cleared his throat, "Alright Ashton I'm just going to cut to the chase. You are going to be put under house arrest for two weeks. You will only be allowed to leave the house for school or in the case of an emergency. Is that understood?"

"House arrest? It was just a stupid prank and no one got hurt, how the hell are they putting me under house arrest?"  I know I should've been relieved but this is just plain retarded.

"Normally we would handle this differently but due to your history we decided just a simple detention wouldn't cut it."

My body was trembling with frustration. I was being treated like a criminal. If word gets out about my recent fight my life will be ruined. This was my last warning and I was literally walking on ice.

"Can I go now?" I asked between my teeth. This is definitely not the news I was expecting and I needed to get some fresh air before my brain exploded.

"Yes. Later on a police officer will be by to put on your ankle monitor."

I just nodded and left. No way was I sticking around so I just ditched the rest of school even though we were only in third period.

The familiar view of my neighborhood came in sight and I stopped in my tracks. Since I was going to be stuck in my house for two weeks I really didn't want to go back there already.

Instead I sent a text to Cal so we could meet up at his house. Lately the only person I've seemed to text is him but it's because he knows Kori. Yesterday he was able to get her number which meant our plan was working but now my house arrest was going to make things a little more trickier.

In less than a minute I pulled up to his driveway and waited until his car parked beside mine. His keys jingled as we walked to the door.

"So what's the verdict?"

"They're putting me under house arrest for two weeks." I huffed.

"Woah we got a badass over here" he chuckled pushing open the door.

"Shut up. How the hell am I suppose to meet Kori if I can't go to the party?"

"Well I invited her over so we could work on a project. I can just tell her to go to your house instead and we can have like a study group."

I cringed at the word study group. Calum was actually way smarter than he led on and that's why I knew I could trust him.

"Alright what time?"

"5, but Ash I'm warning you she's pretty sassy."

"It's just a girl Cal she can't be that bad." I smirked and patted his back.

Calum and I arrived at my house around 4:30 and pulled out our school supplies. Mom called saying she would be home a little later than usual. She didn't believe me when I said I was having a study group although I could hardly believe it myself.

I placed a bowl of chips on the table and heard a knock on the door. Confidence was something that came naturally to me but at the moment I was nothing but nerves.

When I opened the door I met a pair of brown eyes. "Where's Calum?" she asked bluntly.

"Uh he's using the bathroom, come in." I made way for her and she passed by me without a second glance.
