The cover photo is exactly what I would describes Skye's eyes to be like

Anyways, on with the book!

I walked to biology, staring hard at my timetable, trying to keep out of eye contact from everyone, as I knew everyone was probably staring at me.

Lab 32. Just get to lab 32. I kept chanting in my head as I walked up various staircases.

How big was this school?

I looked up at the door in front of me, glancing up and down, I looked at the door number and noticed the big golden numbers that read '32' I was in the science block, so this has to be the room.

Before walking in, I took a deep breath and recited in my head all the possible normal things to say to everyone.

I mean, starting off by saying 'I caught 5 Pokèmons last weekend on Pokémon Go" will really draw eyes to me...and not the type of attention I would like.

Although that game was the bomb.

I opened the door and noticed all the types of people sitting on tables and some on the odd chair.

No one noticed me thankfully and I slid my way into the lab and seated myself on a empty table.

The lab was fairly big, however to my disadvantage the room was set out in 4 long rows behind one another. I would have to share one row with at least 8 other people.

Wooo! Socialising.

I placed myself near the far left, but not right on the end. That would only make me stand out more.

...This is exactly what I meant by 'planning out my day over the summer'

As I pulled out my notes, a bunch of paper scattered around my desk, looking like I was the typical nerd who loved learning about mitochondria and how it is the powerhouse of the cell.

I felt a body slide past me, as it threw its bag onto the desk to my right, slumping in the chair next to me.

"Stupid bag..." It mumbled

"S-sorry" I whispered sheepishly, and I retrieved all the blank pieces of paper.

A laugh escaped from the person who sat next to me

"Hey, don't sweat it. I love learning about cells too"

I tilted my head towards to take in the appearance of the person who sat beside me.

She was beautiful, with blonde luscious blonde hair, and distinctive deep blue eyes. She had a bright smile on her face, revealing a set of straight white teeth and a ruddy colour, sculpting her cheeks.

"Have you moved up in Biology then? Cause I haven't seen you before" she kept the smile on her face. Making me feel more relaxed.

"I'm new actually. My first day" I smiled in return.

"Ahh! That's why I didn't recognise you. I mean, I'm known for knowing everyone!"

I scoffed. "That must explain it. I'm Skye. Skye Abelló" I finished

"Mackenzie. Mackenzie Richards." She greeted with a outstretched hand.

I shook her hand in response. Taking in her firm handshake.

"Bit of a firm handshake you got there" I giggled

She laughed back "Sorry, I normally come across too confident during first impressions"
