"Thanks for last night"
I was concentrating on the road ahead of me, "You don't have to thank me" I let a small laugh escape my mouth.
I was driving Carter to school as he still hasn't got a car yet.
"Seriously Carter, you really need a car"
"No I don't, I have all my bitches driving me around"
Looking at Carter through the corner of my eye, I could see a huge grin spread across his face.
I stopped at a red light, tapping my fingers against the steering wheel.
"I will get a car eventually, I just need to save the money to buy one first"
Nodding my head, I started to drive again as the lights turned green. I haven't seen Seal Bay since my last day of school there which was 4 months ago.
I pulled up in front of the school, looking around curiously. The school hadn't changed much, it still had its white and blue theme, with blue banners pinned up on walls of the school. I saw groups of people hanging around outside their cars, some in their cars. I noticed the 'smoking wall' was still being used, as it had a group of boys leaning against it, smoking. My head looked through my window, and I saw a group of Rastas walk buy, their dreadlocks swinging and they all wore Jamaican colours.
I pictured what the hallways would look like, probably the same. It's thousands of blue lockers lined up, one after another.
CRASH!
My body was flung back, my back meeting the locker. I gasped immediately in shock.
His arm held me in place and his body was suffocating me. I looked into his eyes, his possessive, evil eyes.
"Where were you" He said in a low, angry voice.
"Late"
He sighed in relief, releasing his arm, allow me to get off of the locker, he bit his lip before running his fingers which were shaking, through his hair.
"I'm sorry" His voice was soft, his face was masked with kindness.
"I can't lose you" He stared into my eyes, fear spread across his face. "I won't lose you" He finished.
I was pulled into a hug, and unusually it was a warm one. All his anger was gone. His possessiveness and control had faded away and was replaced with kindness and security.
Hugging him back, I felt him clutch onto my hair tightly, holding me in his arms, not letting go.
"Oh shit" Carter whispered.
"What?"
Carter pointed in the direction of a group of girls, one of them being his ex girl friend, Holly.
"I can't let her see me" He started to sink in his seat, his hand covering his face.
Carter whispered again, "Tell me when she's gone"
"Carter...I think she's coming this way now" Tensing up, I look over at a Carter who now lunged himself in the back seat, covering his body with the blanket I left in there during the summer, when Carter decided we go on a spontaneous road trip.
"Go along with it!" I heard him yell from the back, and instantly I saw Holly standing outside of my window.
Rolling it down, Holly welcomes me with a smile. I observe Holly's face, and I notice her bright red hair, obviously dyed. She had bags under her eyes, and she look rough. Was she on drugs? Looks like it to me.
