Tapping my nails on the window pane, I watched snow flakes fall gently onto the glass. Sighing, I fell back into my chair and wrapped my dressing gown tightly around my body. It was snowing already and due to the heavy amounts, school was cancelled all week, and I was doing absolutely nothing. Mackenzie went skiing in France with her family and  I hadn't heard anything from the boys. After that night with Braxton not much happened, I was shocked and I think it was extremely hard for him to carry on, so I suggested he drove me home. The journey was silent and when he parked at my house I said thanks for the day, but he didn't respond at all. That was the last time I spoke to him.

Beginning of November came, lunch times were simple, myself, Mackenzie, Chase and Jakob would meet at the hangout, talk, sometimes bunk a few lessons, but there was no sign of Braxton. I even asked Chase privately where Braxton was all the time, I could tell he knew, but he held back to tell me anything.

It felt like he was deliberately avoiding me, not turning up at lunch, but then again he never really did. I thought he was just busy all the time, or bunking class, but then I realised that ever since Braxton opened up to me, it was like he purposely stayed out of my way, and I didn't know if it was my fault.

So then a week later Mackenzie left for France, it was a thing she did every year apparently, she would tell the school there was a family emergency and leave for 2 weeks, to her advantage though, this week of school was off. But that left me with only Chase and Jakob. It was fun, they didn't make me feel awkward being the only girl. I was hoping the three of us would hang out this week but none of them have contacted me, so I just assumed they weren't interested.

School ended a few days ago, and my last lesson was the first time I had seen Braxton. I went to my music class, played around with the guitar and there he was, sitting in the back, his head down and hands stuffed in his pockets. He didn't notice me, and if he did he probably pretended he didn't. Our teacher gave us a task, we had to write a song about anything of our choice.

So over this week I was writing lyrics and playing around with the guitar, trying to write a song but nothing came to mind.

So here I was now, staring out my bedroom window, looking for 'inspiration'.

Maybe I should text Chase? Ask him what he's doing, invite him over maybe? I mean, it's not like Alex doesn't know who he is, it would be worse if it was Braxton.

My mum and dad were downstairs too, perhaps they could meet Chase before they went to work. My mum was working later today and my dad was working an evening shift.

But what if he was with Jakob...and didn't want to meet because he was too busy? It was worth a shot.

I grabbed my phone and pressed the call button next to Chase's contact, placing it to my ear I bit my nails nervously, after the third ring, the line picked up.

"Hey Skye, I was wondering how long it would take you to call"

"M-me call? I thought you were going to call me"

Chase laughed on the other end, "I told you if you ever want to hang just give me a ring"

Feeling stupid, "Oh, I didn't remember that"

"It's okay" He laughed again, "So what's the matter?"

Fiddling with my dressing gown, "I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out today? Come over or something?"
