My body felt paralysed, I was numb and weak. My head was spinning and my throat was blocked, I couldn't find oxygen, it felt like all air around me had been swallowed up.
"You have a real nerve to be here Antonio" I heard Alex speak up first, his voice sounding intimidating.
Antonio scoffed, "We don't want to start the conversation off like that do we? It would only upset Skye" He turned to face me, his dark eyes piercing and cold. Extremely cold.
"Leave" Carter growled in a raspy voice.
Antonio ignored Carters threat and continued to stare at me, his eyes burning. "Why would you return Skye?"
I opened my mouth to speak but no words escaped. Instead Alex spoke, "She doesn't have to answer you"
I watched him take a few steps towards us, making Carter instantly grab onto my side, pulling me towards him. I hadn't even realise Carter was beside me.
"What a fool you are" He gripped onto my free arm tightly, causing Alex to instantaneously push me behind him and shove at Antonio's chest, making him stubble back a few inches.
He brushed at his clothes before shooting me a twisted smile, "Remember Skye" He took a short breath before speaking again, "I love you"
Alex jumped forward, towering over Antonio who didn't back down once, "Get her in my car" Alex said towards Carter, but not leaving his eyes from Antonio's once. They were both squaring up to each other, making me feel even more paranoid then ever.
I felt Carter's arms tug at my body, pulling me towards Alex's car. My body moved with Carters pull but my eyes didn't move, I was transfixed on Alex and Antonio. I took a seat in the white leather chair, hearing the door slam behind me.
I knew I had recognised this place before, but apart of me couldn't think of when. But when I saw Antonio, it all came back to me...
Watching Carter pull Alex away, Antonio back off too, but he didn't leave, he watched me instead. My gut twisted and paranoia travelled through my body. My head shot down and I looked down at my shaking thighs which I couldn't control, my feet were tapping away rapidly.
"Where's the key to your car?" I turn to the voice of Alex who's ducking down through his car door. I shoved my hand into my jacket pocket and give Alex what he requested for. After taking the keys from my grasp, he gives me a worryingly look before slamming the door shut and walking over to Carter and Antonio, who were been glaring at each other now.
"There won't be a fight" I heard Carter'a muffled voice say, "Not today" he finished, before turning his back and walking towards my car, the keys clanking together.
"If you come anywhere near her again I'll-"
"You'll what?" Antonio spat out aggressively towards Alex, getting closer to his chest.
Alex shoved at Antonio's chest, "Stay away from her" His tone of voice must if intimidated Antonio a little bit as he didn't retaliate while Alex walked away. Instead Antonio back off too, only a little bit.
He shot me a look, making my throat clog up even more and cause feat to soar inside of me. His dark eyes glared before he turned around and walked down the pathway.
We began driving out of the car park and onto the long countryside-looking road. Turning around, I could see Carter was behind us in my car.
Facing forward again, I grab onto the sleeves of my jacket and pull them over my hands.
"I won't let him hurt you" Alex spoke with confidence.
I didn't reply, my throat was still blocked and I was still shaking.
