"Braxton?" A low whisper spoke.
"What" He rolled his eyes at me, the rain hitting his face.
"What are you doing?"
"It's called walking" He exhaled, looking irritable.
Feeling nervous, "Were you stalking me?"
I watched his face stay emotionless, as his hair was being drenched by the rain. "Stalking is such a strong word, I prefer intense research of an individual"
"What! Why were you following me?" My hands threw up in the air.
"Because"
"That's not a good enough reason to follow someone in the middle of the night, I could of attacked you!"
"Could of, would of, should of...but you didn't" He stared at me with amusement, his blue eyes burning into me.
"You tell me to stay away from you and now your following me" I glared back.
"Rules don't apply for me"
No rules apply for you, I thought to myself. Turning around I start to walk away, clutching onto my body, as it was so cold.
"Why can't I tell anyone about what happened last night?" Braxton called towards me.
I stopped where I was, completely frozen. Was this the reason as to why he followed me? To get answers?
I didn't turn around, I stayed where I was, completely paralysed.
"Because I said so" I said, my back still facing Braxton.
"There must be a reason" He shot back instantly.
After a short pause, I turned my body to face Braxton, who was standing a good distance away from me with a blank face.
The rain was still pouring heavily, I was completely wet, and the hood that was sheltering me was soaking, weighing the hood down. I pulled the hood off of my head, allowing the cold rain to hit me. I pulled my brunette hair in front of me and looked up at Braxton who was staring.
"Why do you care so much anyways?" My voice was harsh.
Braxton let out a scoff, "Care? You think I care?"
Snapping back, "If you didn't care then why are you still here?"
He stared at me, vexation in his cold blue eyes. I stared back, not breaking my eyes from his once. I wasn't going to be intimidated by him anymore, I wasn't going to back down.
His jaw clenched, creating a firm line. Although there was a distance between us, I felt like I was trapped in his presence, I felt claustrophobic and I was struggling to find air.
We stared a little longer, before Braxton started to walk away, his back facing me. A lamp post shone over his body, exposing his figure completely. The orange light beamed over, no darkness around him.
The only darkness there was, was Braxton himself.

By the time I got home, it was 11:30. I was now lying on my bed in my pyjama shorts and top.
"What's up princess?" I heard a struggling Carter say, as he clambered into my room, shutting the window behind him.
