"Midnight Madness! My house this Friday" Jakob called out to passing students in the hallway, while handing out flyers.
"What is this even for?" I asked him while giving out the flyers that I didn't bother to look at.
"My Halloween party this Friday!" Jakob turned to me looking surprised.
"Halloween's this Friday?" I questioned back.
He handed another student a flyer before speaking to me again, "Yeh, and you're coming to the...'Midnight Madness!' It will be fun" He exclaimed.
Biting my lip, "I don't know...doesn't sound like a great idea. Parties aren't really my thing you know?" I used to love going to parties, but I swore to myself I wouldn't ever again after that night...I shudder at the thought.
"Don't be boring bambina! It's going to be so fun, everyone's dressing up -
I'm going as super man" He spoke smugly.Smiling at a passing pupil, I shoved the pamphlet into their chest before turning to Jakob, "It's not really my scene" I shrugged, trying to dismiss the conversation.
Jakob grabbed onto my shoulders and started to shake me lightly, "You are coming to this party wether you like it or not!" A wide grin spread across my face, it was going to take a lot more to convince me.
Jakob spoke again, trying hard to persuade me. "Besides, I need a superwoman by my side" He winked at me. "And maybe after we could-"
Slapping a hand over his mouth, "FINE! I'll come! But no superwoman...and no 'after' stuff" i watched Jakob burst into laughter, "Yes!" He cried out with enthusiasm.
Jakob's enthusiasm soon faded away, "Common! Those flyers aren't going to hand out themselves" He gave me a nudge before I turned around to give out the luminous orange paper.
"Don't get used to this" I rolled my eyes, despite the fact Jakob couldn't see me do so. "I'm only here because I'm trying to avoid Braxton and Chase"
"You say that now" Jakob said cheekily. "Besides, you're my new booth babe" He turned to me and winked.
Laughing to myself, I hear Jakob speak again in a more serious tone. "How long are you going to stay mad at Chase for?"
"It's not that I'm mad, I just think it's better to give it day...to cool down" I shrugged. I had stayed away from Chase all day, and Braxton too, even though it wasn't hard to do that as he never was with us. He was with Holly instead.
Chase had tried to speak to me today, I saw him approaching me in the morning but I turned away and went in the other direction. I wasn't that mad with him really, after what Braxton told me about Chase having a crush on me, it scared me a bit, and I've tried to avoid him for that main reason. But still apart of me doesn't really believe Chase has a crush on me, it just doesn't add up. He was with a girl on the weekend, he even told Mackenzie! And that says something.
Maybe Braxton only said it to mess with me, it wouldn't surprise me at all. Braxton was full of unexpected things, he'll make me feel unwanted, he'll be unkind, and he would defiantly want to mess with my head. It would only make him feel better knowing that I was suffering. Maybe he was a sadist?
It was lunch now anyways, so I didn't have long until the day was over and I wouldn't have to worry about bumping into Chase or Braxton.
"There you are!" I snap back into reality and look at the beautiful blonde haired girl standing in front of me.
"Hey Mackenzie" I smiled at her, Mackenzie and I were becoming really close lately.
