Jakob pulled up in front of the building, parking it on the cobblestoned driveway. Jakob and Mackenzie jumped out of the side doors and made their way over to us.
"I was not expecting it to be this big" Jakob flung his arms over the side of the truck, leaning his body against it. Mackenzie was by his side.
"How old is this place?" Mackenzie questioned.
"It was built in 1951" Jakob explained. "What? I did a bit of research" He finished in defence.
Braxton sat back down on his pillow, and I made my way to the side of the truck bed, where Jakob was.
"Do you know why is was abandoned?" Chase said, taking a seat next to me.
"Okay, story goes, in 1951, when the boarding school was just built, a group of illegal hunters went hunting in these very woods"
"Boring"
"Shut up!" Jakob smacked Braxton.
"Anyways...these hunters were just out in the woods, hunting rabbits and similar animals"
Chase spoke up, "There's nothing that's similar to rabbits"
"I don't know! Maybe wild Guinea pigs...that's not the point!" He started again, "One of the hunters saw a rabbit and made his aim, but when he pulled the trigger, the rabbit had run away, causing the bullet to hit one of the other hunters"
"How fortunate" I snapped my head towards Braxton, giving him a look, Jakob continued.
"Archer was his name. When the hunters realised Archer was shot, they all ran, leaving him for dead" Jakob paused for a dramatic effect before speaking again, his voice low and ghoulish, "But what they didn't realise, was that Archer wasn't dead"
I heard Mackenzie and Chase gasp in shock, whereas Braxton was rolling his eyes.
"Archer crawled through the woods, searching for help...'help!' He screamed, 'help!' But no help was near..."
"Until!" Jakob's head shot up, "He stumbled across a boarding school"
"Oh no!" Braxton screamed in a girly voice.
Jakob ignored his comment and continued, "Archer slithered up these stone stairs, onto the porch" Jakob pointed to the broken stairs which led to a long wooden porch, the floor had a very detailed blue and white tiled pattern on it, but a lot of the tiles were missing and broken
"When he reached the door, it was too late. He died there and then"
"So why is this place abandoned...?" Chase asked, he sounded slightly afraid.
"I'm getting to it!" Jakob snapped back, before speaking again in his creepy voice, "When the kids from the school found his body, they instantly told the teachers who then called an ambulance. The body was taken away and the investigation was closed as there wasn't enough evidence...but that wasn't the end! Ohhhh no. There's more!" Jakob's hands shot in the air.
"Ever since Archer died on that porch, it was reported that at night a man in hunting gear would visit the kids who boarded, demanding to know where the other hunters were...He wanted revenge!"
Chills started to run down my back as I peered over at the abandoned boarding school. Braxton looked disinterested and Chase was starting to tense up, Mackenzie however was clutching onto Jakob's arm in fear.
"When the kids told the teachers about what they saw, they didn't believe them and just thought they were making up stupid ghost stories" Jakob continued.
