I woke up from a cold sweat, my body was paralysed. I felt a weight pressing onto my body, as it was suffocating me. My eyes gaze over to my right and I noticed Braxton sound asleep. He looked so peaceful. Following his arm, I see it was flung over my body, causing my breath to hitch and my heart to start racing.

Pushing Braxton's arm off of me, I turn over in the opposite direction, trying to control my heart beat. Taking a quick look over at the clock that was hung on the all in front of me, if read 3am.

"What's the matter?" A low voice murmurs in my ear, instantly sending sparks through my body, as I recognise the voice.

"Nothing" I whisper back, my body still facing in the opposite direction.

His warm arm gripped around my body, flipping me to face him. I stare into his stormy blue eyes, they were kind; not his usual cold ones.

He stared back, "Did you have a nightmare?"

Yes. I mean no. It was a nightmare, but it was a nightmare that actually happened, like a memory. I remember that day like it was only yesterday, after that day...things started to change.

"It was nothing" I tried to brush off, I only just realised how small space we shared between us. Why was Braxton being nice? I didn't trust him, he's probably thinking of ways to get back at me for punching him.

I asked with confusion, "Why are you being nice?"

His eyes turned cold instantly, his face was stiff and his grip around my waist tightened. It sent chills down my spin and I felt threatened.

"Don't you want me to be nice?" He said through gritted teeth, "Fine, I won't be nice to you" And with that, he let go of my body, and turned his back to me.

I sighed to myself and rolled over, wishing I never said anything. Jakob was fast asleep next to me, his mouth wide open and drool slipping out of his mouth. I closed my eyes and tried to get back to sleep.

"So that's why you're getting close to her"

"You don't know anything"

"I know that your just going to break her"

My eyes fluttered open by the sound of voices. Squinting, I see Braxton and Chase in a intimate conversation. They were standing in the centre of Jakob's room.

"Break her?" Braxton scoffed.

"She's going to get hurt, and I'm not sticking around to watch it happen" Chase spat back, before leaving the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

I rolled over to see I was the only one left in bed, I quickly closed my eyes, not wanting Braxton to know I heard their conversation. But curiosity was killing me, I wanted to ask Braxton so badly but remembering our conversation yesterday, I guess we weren't friends anymore...maybe we never were friends.

Who was going to get hurt though? It was definitely about a girl, because they were saying 'she', maybe this was the secret girl he was sneaking off to see during school, and maybe he was breaking up with her?

It's non of my business anyways, I turned over again, my eyes still closed. But why did Chase care so much? Did he know the girl? I was so confused.

Rolling over some more, I expected my head to meet with the pillow, but I clearly miss calculated and my body was now on the floor with a loud thud following.
