The snow got worse which meant we had no school. So instead of having one week off, we were having multiple weeks, not knowing when we would return back to the hell hole. Mackenzie was coming back from her skiing trip today, but she would probably arrive home later on in the evening.

My brother Alex would usually come home late as he would be working all day. I guess his job pays well since he walks to work in the heaps of snow, and the fact that my birthday was just around the corner meant that he needed as much money as he could get.

A tapping sound echoed through my room and startled me slightly. Looking over at my window, I see Carter shivering, whilst snow fell onto his perfect hair.

Sighing, I walk towards the lock and slide open the glass, allowing Carter to enter.

"Are you crazy? Do you know how cold it is out there?" I brush the snow flakes off of Carter's shoulders and ruffle his hair slightly.

"If you left your window open, I wouldn't of been this cold" He props himself down onto my bed, kicking his shoes off.

"Why would I have my window open when it's freezing outside?" I say with a raised eyebrow.

"You make a good point Abelló"

Sitting down next to him, "Why're you here anyways?"

Carter put his face in his hands, "I need advice"

Folding my arms over my chest, "Advice?"

His green eyes look at me desperately, "Woman advice"

"It doesn't matter what advice I give you, we both you'll choose to ignore it anyway"

Carter gave me a small push whilst laughing, "Seriously though"

I leaned back on my pillow, preparing myself to hear Carter's stupid tale, for me to give him a simple answer to.

"You know me, I'm not one for committed relationships. I just do what I gotta do and then I'm off"

"Where are you going with this?" I knit my eyebrows.

"How do I tell someone I'm not in to them?"

"It depends who's into you, with some girls you have to take a different approach" I shrug.

"What if it's a really hot girl, who's kinda nice, but you can't see yourself with them...expect in bed" He winked.

I immediately make a gagging sound and cup my mouth. After a short pause, "Just tell me who the girl is"

Carter pauses awkwardly, debating whether to tell me or not. "Carter! I'm your best friend, I tell you everything!"

"Not everything!" He argued back.

"I told you about the time I got my period and leaked all over-"

"Ahhh! Too many woman issues!"
