Joey woke up before Evan, and got dressed and headed out. Joey decided to go to the small studio one stage. He took his time walking there. The campus was nice and peaceful, only a couple of people were up and moving, and most of them were professor's going to there class room to prep for there classes.
Joey opened the doors to the theater building and walked down the halls. Whe walls were covered with pictures from previous shows done in the power center. Joey looked at the basement arts board to see if there was anything interesting up. A couple of posters about some karaoke night and a self written poetry reading. There were some other random ones but there was one white sheet of paper tacked up in front of everything else and it read:
Looking for male partner auditions will be Tuesday November 30th at 5pm in Studio One. Please sign up below. Thanks Penelope May :)
Penelope was a friend of Joeys, they had trigonometry together Joeys freshman year and she always helped him out. They found out that they were both acting majors and became friends instantly. Penelope was kinda dorky, she was a fan girl to just about every fandom, she had long brown hair that was always braided into to pig tails she wore thick glases because her eye sight was horrible. But Joey didn't think any less of her.
He glanced at the names written on the list. Loser, Dork, This show sucks, and it continued on. They wernt even names just people making fun of her. Joey ripped the list off the board and stuck it in his bag.
He pushed open the door to the small theater. Joey was hoping to be alone but he was sadly mistaken.
"Hey Penelope." Joey said walking down the aisle to sit on the edge of the stage.
"Oh hey Joey, did you see my flyer about my show?" She said sitting down beside him.
"Yea, have you?"
"Not recently, I should probably go get it, see how many people signed up." She said then hopped off the stage, Joey quickly grabbed her arm.
"Uh well when I walked by just now it wasant on the board." Joey told her. He knew if she ever saw that list it would just break her heart.
"Oh, everyone thinks I'm a joke." She said sitting back down beside Joey.
"Hey nobody thinks your a joke." Joey said as he wrapped his arm around her.
"So are you going to be at my audition. There today after school at five o'clock, here."
"Oh well," Joey hadn't thought about auditioning, Joey looked into Penelope's eyes, he couldn't tell her no, "of course I'll be there."

Joeys watch hit 5:00 just as soon as he opened the door to the theater building. He ran down the hall and into studio one.
"Sorry I'm late Penelope." Joey said, then got a good look around the place. He was the only one there, besides Penelope who sat in a seat in the second row.
"Hey Joey." She said in a depressed tone. Joey walked down and sat beside her.
"Where is everyone, did you already audition everyone?" He asked as he sat down.
"No, your the only one who showed up."
"Well I'm here." Joey said then smiled at her. Her braids were starting to come undone, she looked like she had had a long day.
"Oh well," she said then searched for a script, "here you read guy, I'll read girl."
"Can you tell me anything about this?" Joey asked as he took the script then walked on stage.
"Oh right well its about a princess, she is like the lost princess of the story books and she is desperately waiting for her prince charming, but instead it turns out to be this guy who's family is poor and they hate how the Royals run the kingdom. But the boy gets a job in the place and meets the princess and they hate each other and learn to basically love each other." Joey was wowed at the plot, he auctaly was kind of interested.
"Does he have a name?" Joey asked.
"Yes, Rupert. And the princesses name is Monica."
"Monica? That's not very princessey."
"Oh shut up Joey it's my show now just reat starting on page 15."
Joey flipped through the book untill he found the page. He cleared his throat and began to read. "My horse could run this kingdom better than your father."
"Excuse me." Penelope said from her seat but still in character.
"You heard me, he has no clue what is happening in the village, nor does he care. He sends troupes to invade other kingdoms, and towns, for no reason. All it does is kill more men, theses are men who have families, wives and children who pray every day that there father will come back home. Neither you or your family have any clue as to what is happening out side these palace walls, and you don't care. I know that you will run and tell and it will get me fired and forced into exile, but it was worth it to speak the minds of the people." Joey finished and he felt alive, that monologue gave him an adrenaline rush.
"Wow Joey, joust wow." Penelope said giving him a standing ovation. "I think it's safe to say you have the part."
"Oh well I'm honored, but..." Joey looked around the room, he was the only one there, he couldn't break her heart, "I'll do it."
"Really?" She asked as the smile on her face grew.
"Yea." He replied. Penelope jumped from her seat and ran on to the stage and hugged him.
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Joey, this means the world to me." She said then released Joey from her grip.
"No problem." Joey said then smiled at her. Joey stood there for a second thinking about how he liked it when Penelope hugged him, the feeling of her body pressed against his, but not in a sexual way.
Joey pushed that thought far from his mind and patted Penelope on the shoulder and said, "Well I'll see you later." Then awkwardly walked off.
