Joeys eyes open and he looked around and all he could see was white. Joey winced at the bright piercing white that surrounded him.

"1, 2, 3." It was as if some one had said it over the a loud speaker.

Then the white vanished. It was replaced with a tin ceiling and men in blue shirts. Joeys brain was scrambled, but he eventually realized that he was in an ambulance.

'What's going on?' He tried to say but the words didn't come out and his mouth didn't move.

Joeys vision got blurry and eventually he was back in the white nothingness.

"Hello?" Joey called out.

"Hello Joseph." A deep voice said behind him.

Joey turned around shocked to see who was standing behind him.

"Morgan Freeman? What are you doing here." Joey said shocked and confused.

"I'm not here, well this isn't the real 'me' I'm merely a figment of imagination helping you cross to the other side." Morgan explain to Joey.

"Wait, am I dead?" Joey asked scared.

"Yes and no, welcome to Limbo."

"Wait, limbo is like that in between works right?" Joey asked.

"Yes, and-" Morgan freeman was cut off by the sounds of echoing sobs.

Joeys eyes fluttered open, he definitely wasn't in limbo. He couldn't find enough strength to move anything.

"Oh my God! His eyes are open!" Joey could hear Jaime say through sobs, they all gathered around his bed.

"I'll go get a doctor." Joe said running out of the room.

"Joey can you hear us?" Lauren asked.

There there was a ringing in Joeys ears, and a loud beep coming from the monitor. The doctor came rushing in. "Get out now!" He ordered.

Then it was silent.

"Now back to what I was saying." Joey turned around and saw he was back in limbo with Morgan Freeman. "You have a choice Mr. Richter."

"To do what?" Joey asked.

"To stay here and continue on to the other side, or go back to reality."

"I want to go back, please." Joey said as tears began to roll down his face.

"Then make the decision." Morgan told him.

"I- I want to go home back to my life." Joey said as tears rolled down his face. He began to panic, thinking of all the things he would miss is he was gone. Darren and Lauren's child being born, his friends and family, Penelope, his future. "I just graduated, I need to go back."

"Indeed lets go back." Morgan Freeman said as the white nothing's transformed into joeys graduation day, and the accident.

"Steer clear of Cody Deprin, he fucked out of his mind." Evan, Joeys roommate and unlikely friend whispered in his ear and they stood inline to receive there diplomas.

"Thanks for the heads up." Joey said with a chuckle then faced forward.

"Joesph Michael Richter." The Dean called and Joey walked across the stage and shook his hand then received his diploma. He could hear his friends going crazy in the audience.

The class tossed the caps in the air and that was it. Joey was done with school. Joey met up with his family and took pictures and hug his mom and dad, then they made there way back to there hotel, but Joey stuck around to find his friends.

"There he is!" Lauren called out as she waddled over to him, she was now seven months pregnant. "Holy shit I've got to sit down." She said out of breath, then said in an empty chair beside Joey.

"Congratulations bud!" Darren said hugging his best friend.

"We're all just so proud of you!" Meredith said as the others nodded there heads.

"Thanks guys." Joey said.

"Now come on, we have a surprise for you." Jaime said.

"Ooo I love surprises." Joey said taking off his gown and folding it up in his arms.

The gang walked together across the college campus. Telling old stories and having a good time.

They crossed the street, Joey was holding up the rear as he was following his friends to his 'surprise'. When out of nowhere a loud screeching echoed through all there ears. And Joey was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The car hit Joey full force, sliding him across the street.

Lauren screamed while Darren stood looking at what happened, he was frozen, petrified.

"Someone call 911!" Jaime yelled.

Then the memory went fuzzy.

Joey took a deep breath. "It was Cody Deprin, he came to graduation as high as a kite, and then went and sat on his tailgate and drank. He was in no state to drive."

"Joey my friend, I think this is where our story ends." Morgan began. "I wish you the best of luck, take this second chance and put it to good use." And then he vanished as if he was never even there.

Joey was alone again.

Joey shut his eyes and took a deep breath. When he reopened his eyes he was back in that hospital bed. Alive. Surrounded by his friends and family.

Joey got a second chance, and he wasn't going to waist it.
