Three years later~

Today, I was going to do it.

  I had the ring ready. I planned it all out. I was ready.

  Alex was at the door before I knew it. We spent most of the night on the couch, in each other's arms.

  I got up. Alex asked where I was going. "I'll be right back, Love. Stay there."

  I looked in the bathroom mirror. Now or never, Miles, I told myself, and walked into the living room.

  Alex watched as I walked in. He raised an eyebrow when I didn't sit back down. "Summat wrong, Mi?"

  I didn't say anything. I simply kneeled down in front of Alex and showed him the little velvet box. I opened it.

  Alex looked at me in disbelief. "Mi..." He trailed off. I raised an eyebrow.

  Al got up and pulled me up, kissing me. He nodded when he pulled away. "Yes, Miles."

  I think I was the happiest man in the world.
