"Home Bound"
I kind of sped home. I wanted to get to my room and call Amber to tell her what happened. I still couldn’t believe that gorgeous boy had given me his number. Me! It was extraordinary. I wasn’t going to call him though. I was just going to text him and see why he gave me his number.
When I pulled into the drive way I turned off the truck and jogged to the door. When I went inside I tossed my brothers keys to him and ran up the stairs. As soon as I shut my door I pulled out my phone and called Amber.
“Hello,” she answered on the third ring.
“Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod. You will never guess what happened.”
“What happened,” she asked excited.
“Well I went to pick up Hunter’s truck and when I walked in nobody was there so I rang the bell but still nobody came. So I decided to ring the bell again but when I did Aidan came out looking angry….”
“Wait. Aidan works there,” she asked interrupting me.
“Yeah. Surprise right. Well anyway I told him why I was there and he said I could come sit in the back. So I followed him back there and he told me where my brothers truck was so I walked over there. There was a guy standing with his head under the hood so I called out to him but he didn’t answer so I tapped him on his shoulder. He jumped when I did and hit his head on the hood.”
“Ouch,” she interrupted again.
“I know right. So I told him I was sorry and we talked for a little bit then I went and sat down to wait for him to finish up. I kind of zoned out like usual and lost track of the time. Then he was in front of me talking and he said that he was done and asked if I needed someone to bring the truck around front. I agreed of course because I never could have gotten it out of there. So he told Aidan to bring it around and we walked out front so that he could get me Hunters receipt. He printed it out and wrote something on it then handed it to me. I didn’t look at it though. He waved bye and I left. When I got outside Aidan was leaning on my truck. I said hey to him of course but he looked kind of mad. He said and I quote ‘be careful’ then walked back inside.”
“What did he mean,” she asked.
“I don’t know. He’s kind of cryptic. Well anyway I got in the truck and I looked at the back of the receipt and guess what it was.”
“What?”
“His phone number and name and it said call me with like five exclamation marks,” I said in an excited voice.
“Oh wow. Was he cute,” she said just as excited as me.
“Oh man. Yeah. He’s gorgeous. He’s tall like almost as tall as Aidan. He has shaggy blonde hair and really pretty green eyes. His smile is really nice too. He has the deepest dimples ever. He’s so muscular. I couldn’t help but to watch as he was tugging on stuff in my brothers truck.”
“Wow. Was he nice,” she asked.
“Yes. He was really nice. Should I call or just text him?”
“Text him first. See what he wanted.”
“That’s what I thought would be the best idea.”
