                                         "Going Home"

Aidan’s POV:

After I got on the bus I sat in our seat and looked towards the door. I was waiting for her to get on the bus. I always seemed to be looking for her. After a few minutes I saw her friends get on the bus. They sat in the same spots as last time and Amber looked right over at me. I instantly turned my head and looked out the window. After a few more minutes Adam got on the bus and took his seat beside Sid. He smiled at me and then started talking to Sid.

After another ten minutes I looked back up and finally saw Kayla getting on the bus. Then I saw that she was once again holding hands with Patrick and I felt myself scowl. I couldn’t help it. Every time I saw him with her I involuntarily scowled. He broke off from her about midway through the bus and she continued to walk towards me.

After she sat down and got comfortable I looked down at her. She was looking at Amber with a weird expression on her face. When she looked up at me I turned my head back towards the window. I could see her from the corner of my eye turning back towards Amber. After a second I heard her sigh and could feel her looking at me but I didn’t want to turn back towards her.

She continued to stare at me. I could feel her eyes burning into the side of my head. I sighed and finally turned towards her. She was looking at me with a small frown on her face. I instantly wondered what she was thinking. She reached out and touched my hand and I felt myself tense up. I seemed to tense up every time she touched me. I couldn’t help it.

I watched her for a few more minutes before I turned my head back towards the window. She eventually moved her hand back off of mine and turned to talk to her friends. I ignored them as I watched everything move past. I looked up when I heard footsteps and of course it was Patrick and his partner.

They sat down behind our seat and Kayla instantly turned to start talking to him. I glanced over and saw Amber looking at me. She seemed to see way more than she should. She smirked at me before turning back to Sid. Adam turned in his seat and looked right at me.

            “What’s wrong dude,” he whispered.

“Nothing,” I said back just as quiet.

“I can tell something is wrong.”

“Why does everyone keep saying that,” I said with a frown.

“Because you look like someone just kicked your puppy,” he said with a smile.

“No I don’t,” I said with another frown.

“Why are you pouting,” Amber asked.

“I’m not pouting,” I said highly offended. I was really losing my touch.

“You looked like you were,” Sid said.

I looked down at Kayla and saw her looking at me with a weird expression. She had opened her mouth to say something when we felt the bus stop. I looked out and saw that we were at a gas station. I turned to look back out the window and watched everyone walk off the bus. I didn’t feel our seat move though so I looked over to see Kayla still sitting there looking at me.
