"The pool"
The hand that had touched my shoulders moved to my mouth. I guess it was to stop my screaming. I was terrified. I had no clue who in the hell was behind me and why they were holding me. This is my punishment for skipping my Newspaper meeting.
“Be quiet,” hissed the voice behind me. I instantly knew who it was. I shoved my elbow back into his stomach. His warm flesh covered stomach. He apparently didn’t have a shirt on.
“Why the hell would you scare me like that,” I said turning around to face Aidan.
“Why the hell were you going through my stuff,” he asked with a raised eyebrow. It should be against the law to look that good, I thought.
“I saw it sitting here and I wanted to know who was in here.”
“Well now you know. Why are you in here?”
“I come here to relax.”
He gave me a weird expression but didn’t say anything. I let my eyes roam his face. He had apparently been in the pool because his hair was wet and dripping down onto his face. With his eyelashes black form the water, his eyes stood out even more. It was almost like a shock to look at them. I let my eyes travel down to his chest and felt like I might start to drool. He had the best looking chest I had ever seen. He had a nicely toned six pack but he didn’t have any hair on his chest. The water was glistening on it and I thought I might faint. I continued my look down see that he was wearing green, plaid swim shorts. Wow.
“Why are you here,” I asked. I was happy that my voice didn’t crack. It almost sounded normal.
“Same as you. I come here to relax and to excersise.”
“Is that why your motorcycle is always still in the parking lot when we leave?”
“You keeping tabs on me,” he said with a smirk.
“No. Amber always points it out to me,” I lied.
“Oh," he said. It almost sounded like he was disappointed. "Well are you staying?”
“Yes. I’m already here. And I already took my shoes off,” I said looking down at my feet.
“Have at it,” he said before he went and slipped back into the pool.
I walked back over to my backpack and grabbed my latest book. It was called Whispers by Lisa Jackson. I loved suspense novels. I walked back over to my seat on the side of the pool and put my feet back in. I opened my book to the first page and started reading.
After a few minutes I looked back up to see Aidan in a similar position. He was sitting on the wall opposite to me with his feet dangling in the water and a book in his hands. I couldn’t see what it said though and that made me overly curious.
“Hey,” I said calling out.
“What,” he said after he looked up.
“What are you reading?”
“Wicked lies.”
“By who?”
