"After Shock"
I felt my knees start to buckle but Aidan was holding me so tight that I knew I wouldn't fall. All I could feel was Aidan’s lips on mine. It was so much better than I could have ever imagined. I felt his hands move down from my face to my hips as he pulled me even closer to him. He was kissing me like he never wanted to stop and I would have gladly never stopped.
“What are you guys doing,” I heard from behind me. I jerked away from Aidan and turned to look at a cocky looking Josh standing about ten feet away.
“Go away,” Aidan growled as he pulled me back up against him.
“Why should I,” he said as he came closer.
“Because I said so,” he said as he looked back down at me. I knew my face was flame red but I couldn’t help it.
Josh didn’t say anything back. He just smirked as he walked back into the building. I looked down at my shoes as I inched my way away from Aidan. Before I could go far though he grabbed my hand and pulled me back to him. I still didn’t look up at him.
“Kayla,” he said quietly. “Look at me.”
“I am,” I said as I looked up at him.
“Are you ok,” he asked me.
“I’m fine. We should get back to work,” I said as I pulled away and went to walk away. I heard a loud bang from behind me and quickly turned around. Aidan was rubbing his hand and there was a dent in the dumpster beside him.
“What did you do,” I asked as I walked over to him and grabbed his bleeding hand.
“Nothing,” he mumbled but he didn’t pull his hand away from me.
“You’re bleeding. You have to stop hitting things,” I scolded.
“I can’t help it. I hit things when I mad.”
“Why are you mad?”
“Are you serious,” he asked me like I was a moron.
I didn’t say anything back I just looked back down at his hand. It was scraped and bleeding and I figured it could use a bandage.
“Let’s go clean this up,” I said quietly as I led him back into the building. We walked over to the sink and I started cleaning it without saying anything. When I was finished I walked over to the first aid kit and took out a bandage and some antiseptic spray.
“This may hurt a little bit,” I said as I sprayed the stuff on it. I heard him hiss but I just put the bandage on it and stepped back. When I looked up he was looking at me oddly.
“What,” I asked.
“Are you just going to pretend that didn’t happen,” he asked me.
“I can’t pretend it didn’t happen,” I said as I walked away.
“Why not,” he said as he followed me.
