Something all of the Avengers could agree to look forward to was movie nights. No matter how much they fought and argued, they all enjoyed movie nights with pizza, snacks and a good couple of movies to comment about.

Friday's are the days they usually held them, situated in Tony's home cinema in the dark. That particular Friday, it was Natasha's turn to bring movies, so everyone knew it would consist of horror- and action movies.

Wanda, Pietro, Steve, Tony and [Y/N] were the first to get situated in their usual seats, everyone having brought some snacks and blankets if they felt for it. Tony had of course brought booze as well, which the others mostly declined.

"You guys are a bunch of stiffs." Tony groaned as he kicked his feet onto the seat in front of him, just as Natasha, Clint, Vision, Bruce and Thor arrived. Bruce and Clint were carrying several boxes of pizza.

"Friday the 13th, Sinister, Ultraviolet and Insidious." Announced the redhead, handing them to Tony whom groaned once more and went to start up the first movie. Steve smiled and leaned over to the [H/C] beside him.

"It's been a long time since we did this. Fury's really been working us down." [Y/N] nodded as she took a long swig from her water bottle. "I suppose so. Have you seen any of the movies?" She asked the super soldier.

Steve shook his head. "I saw Friday the 13th not too long ago, but haven't seen the others. Are they any good?" [Y/N] smirked and made herself comfortable as Stark clapped his hands and the lights dimmed. "I personally like Sinister. Haven't seen the two others, and not a big fan of Friday the 13th." Steve merely nodded and whipped to the side as Clint slid a box over to the two situated in the middle. Steve muttered a thanks and opened the lid, taking a piece for himself before offering one to [Y/N].

The [H/C] girl gulped, feeling her stomach churn as she looked over the food. She almost gave in before she frowned, bit her lip and shook her head frantically. "I'm good." She took a long swig of water and handed the box to her left, to Pietro.

Steve frowned. "You haven't eaten anything today, [Y/N]. Are you okay?" He whispered as the movie started. The other Avengers were already commenting on the first scenes, so he wasn't worried about having anyone listen in on the conversation.

[Y/N] glanced up to the blond male beside her, gnawing on her lower lip. "I'm fine." Just then, her stomach growled loud enough for the super soldier to hear, which only confirmed his worries.

"Are you sure? You should at least eat something, you'll faint."

"I said I'm fine, Steve."

And with that, they continued watching the movie.

"Something's wrong with [Y/N]. I haven't seen her eat anything but salad every other day for weeks now, and she hasn't been sleeping properly." Wanda announced with a frown to the other Avengers seated in the living area. They all muttered agreements, all of them having noticed her health drop drastically.

"She's lost a lot of weight as well, if this keeps up then she wont be able to keep working as an Avenger." Said Tony, oddly serious for once.

"Someone should talk to her." Bruce piped in. Agreements were muttered around the room, but no one wanted to volunteer. This was a rather uncomfortable situation to handle.

"I'll do it."

Steve stood up from his seat, stretching as he did. He then made eye contact with all of his colleagues seated around the couches.

"I'll talk to [Y/N], figure out what's wrong. I'm sure as hell not up for losing one of our best people." Clint stood up and patted the blond on the shoulder. No words were spoken, but they somehow came to an agreement; to be careful with [Y/N].
Steve nodded - and on that note - trudged down the hall towards the very last room - [Y/N]'s room.

"[Y/N]? Are you awake?" There was a thump, followed by shuffling before the door swung open, revealing a tired-looking girl, her hair matted down.

"Hi, Steve. What- what's up?" She cleared her throat, finding it difficult to speak. The super soldier frowned, and stepped past her into her room, turning as [Y/N] closed the door and leaned against it.

"Is something wrong, [Y/N]?" The girl frowned and glanced down at her feet for a second, before letting her eyes flicker back up to the blond's face. She shook her head quickly.

"Why would anything be wrong? I'm just peachy!" A fake smile was etched onto her features, but Steve easily saw through it. He took a step forward, and let his fingers lightly brush the back of her hand while he searched her face. "You're a terrible liar."

[Y/N]'s eyes filled to the brim with tears as she glared at nothing in particular, not wanting to look at Steve. "What's wrong, [Y/L/N]?"

"I'm what's wrong, Steve." She gritted out, breathing heavily as she let her eyes slide shut, swallowing back tears. "I'm... I... Have you seen my body? I've gained so much weight the last year here at S.H.I.E.L.D. and I can't take it! I hate what I see in the mirror, so I decided I needed to do something!" [Y/N] opened her eyes and met Steve's blue orbs. Her eyes were sad, dull, hopeless.

"Gained weight? I don't see..." [Y/N] cut him off mid-sentence. "Of course you don't!" She pushed past him and crossed her arms, scowling at her feet. "It's just me being stupid, so I suggest you drop it."

"If that's the reason you've been feeling down lately, then I sure as hell wont drop it." Steve's frown deepened into a scowl. He was angry. But not because of her. No, he was angry because he had not noticed sooner. He had not helped her.

"I want to help you, [Y/N]. Let me, please." Her [E/C] eyes flickered up to meet his stare, a single tear managing to escape the corner of her eye. Steve stepped forward and gripped her shoulders tightly.

"Who cares if you gained weight? Weight is just a number, it's just muscle. And you were still beautiful even if you so-called 'gained weight'. Your weight does not define you. You can weigh a ton and still be beautiful." Steve's eyes widened as he realized what he said. "Not that you weigh a ton, you hardly weigh anything-- no, that's not what I meant, I--"

He was cut off by [Y/N] throwing her arms around his neck, kissing him with so much feeling, he nearly began crying with the girl whom he was currently lip-locked with.

Steve gripped [Y/N]'s hips - which were very prominent under her shirt- deepening the kiss.
As they pulled apart, Steve studied [Y/N]'s tear-stained cheeks, which now held color in them. The [H/C] girl's eyes held a spark Steve hadn't seen in a while, and as her lips parted into a smile, he couldn't help but grin widely as he slipped his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly.

"I know what you meant, and thank you, Steve. Really." Tears continued making their way down [Y/N]'s [S/C] cheeks as she sniffled. She then rested her head against his chest.

"Always, [Y/N]." Steve rubbed small circles on the girl's back, feeling her bones through her shirt.

"Now, how about I take you out to dinner?" [Y/N] chuckled and leaned back to look up at the blond male, rubbing the tears off her cheeks.

"Yes, I would love that."
