Evelyn

"Nice to meet you too, Avery, I'm Evelyn but please call me Evie," I shook her hand and moved to the side to let her get to her side of the room. "May I ask how you got a space in the middle of the academic year?"

She looked up again with her friendly smile and said, "it was just an easy transfer from the History department of my old university to the department here. I think they just looked at how good my grades were and how I well I conducted my interview before they accepted me."

"I see. Well make yourself at home and I hope we get along."

"Did you previously have a roommate or have you been living by yourself for the past half of the year?" she abruptly asked just as I was about to leave the room.

"I had a roommate but she, like you, transferred to another university however that was a month into the year so I highly doubt there weren't many, if any, complications." She nodded and let me leave this time without any further questions. My phone suddenly rang and truthfully I wasn't surprised as to who the caller was. Ever since Monday when I agreed to be in a relationship with Rowan the two of us were made to be inseparable by the male half. I didn't mind the extra company because whenever Rowan was there a smile was always on my face and I don't think a person has ever made me feel so happy in a very long time.

"Rowan, you left five minutes ago so is it really necessary for you to call me?" I said, humour painted my tongue and unknowingly I almost bumped into someone. I mouthed an apology before tuning into Rowan's answer.

"Of course it is, Angel. On a serious note I forgot my jacket upstairs and the professor isn't here yet so could you quickly come down and give it to me."

"You do realise Hayden would've delivered it quicker since he's in the same dorm as you," I sighed whilst hurrying towards the boys' dormitory.

"Please, baby girl," I could hear the pouting in his voice and wanted to whack it out of him.

"Call me that again and I'll break up with you," I threatened him, about to knock the door for Hayden to come out.

"Damn someone's aggressive." Without even greeting Hayden I barged in and grabbed the jacket I saw Rowan wearing the most before running downstairs to the car park where he was leaning against the coach with his phone tightly snug in between his ear and shoulder - he was putting his glasses on.

"Look in front of you," I said standing with my arms crossed and his jacket slung over my right arm. He turned his head and turned his phone off. Trying to suppress the instinct to just throw his jacket at him, I walked until I was a foot away from him.

"Thank you," he said, pecking my cheek in gratitude.

"Hmm sure."

"You're very cranky today, Angel," he commented, frowning slightly as he brushed my cheek.

"I'm just tired. Oh, and I got a new roommate."

"Finally! What's her name?"

"Av-" before I got to say the whole name Rowan pulled away at the sight of his professor.

"Tell me later, Angel, I need to hurry to the professor right now. Bye," with a last squeeze of my hand he left leaving me to roll my eyes. I sauntered back to the dorms but stopped myself when I saw Aubrey at the door talking to Cadence.

After I left university for a weekend to visit my psychiatrist, Aubrey and Cadence gave me glances that were no worse than death threats. Now ever since they've realised that Rowan and I have something going the glances have gotten worse which is weird since Aubrey and Cadence were quite nice before shit happened between Faye and I.
