Glaiza tried to control her breath, trying to be strong, but feeling as though she was failing miserably. She felt a weight on her heart and a throbbing lump on her throat. She still could not speak, afraid that her voice might betray her.

"What is it, Glaiza? What's wrong?" She could hear the concern in Rhian's voice.

She inhaled sharply. She should have guessed that Rhian could feel that there was something wrong like she had intuitively felt her so many times before.

"I'm sorry..." She whispered.

"Why are you sorry?"

She bit her lip. "Because I am not as strong as you are." Her voice shaky.

"Hey." Rhian reproached gently. "Where is this coming from?" She asked and her sobs were now resonant. "Wherever you are, stay there. I'm coming for you."

She gasped at her behest. "I need to see you."

"That's why I'm coming for you, will you just please tell me where you are?" Rhian pleaded.

She started the engine and shifted in her seat. "I'm on my way to your condo."

"Okay, please be careful. I'll be waiting." She heard her exhale slowly at the end of the line.

"Okay."

"I lo -" She hung up before Rhian could have finished what she was about to say.

Her hands gripped the steering wheel as she drove to Taguig. The words Rhian's mom uttered kept on resonating in her head.

Glaiza, I'm asking you, begging you...to let go of Rhian. She is not like you, and I know my daughter, this is just a phase.

I had talked to Jason, he will help Rhian.

Once you become a parent, you will realize these things. You won't allow your child to swing to the evil side, you will always find ways to make it right.

Sometimes, letting go doesn't mean that the love is not there anymore. You choose to love, that is why you're letting go.

She marched her way to the room she's heading, knocking to the door.

"Come in." She heard the deep voice. "Glaiza..."

"Jason..." She mumbled.

The silence stretched out, thick and heavy.

She cleared her throat and gazed at the wretched man laying there. "I just want you to know...you win."

She saw him twitch his lips. "In the first place, you never stood a chance." He smirked. "I didn't know why you even wasted your time on a confused straight woman."

"What Rhian and I had, was real." She said flatly.

He hissed. "Real waggery, you meant?" Then he shook his head. "You have to accept the fact that in the end, it will always be a boy and a girl, man and woman, husband and wife, there will never be a place for people like you."
