A/N: Here comes ACTUAL plot. Not filler... Enjoy~

Emily's POV

I looked down at the messages on my phone: zero. The silence was deafening. COME ON, SOMEONE JUST TEXT ANYTHING, EVEN JUST A USELESS 'Lol' PLEASE! My hopes were crushed. Everyone was online, but the group chat was inactive. Just as I was going to give up hope, the saving words appeared: Matthew is typing... I almost whooped. Finally, SOMEONE talks. Even if it's immature Matthew.

Matthew Harper: Any plans for today, anyone?

That immediately started the ball rolling, bringing in a stream of replies behind it. I sighed with relief. Thank God for biology teachers, even annoying ones.

Amelia Duncan: Nope, what do you have in mind?

Jenna Bradford: None, why?

Arthur Noble: Ooh, are we going to the Not a Library cafe?

Jeremy Coy: Art, don't be opportunistic.

Arthur Noble: Quiet, Jeremy, you're just jealous because Leia left me a note.

Jeremy Coy: What? She left me one too, you're LYING!

Arthur Noble: Am NOT!

Jeremy Coy: You ARE!

You: Alright, ladies, I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you... Discuss the finer points of your argument OFFLINE, thank you. And I'm free.

Arthur Noble: LADIES?!

Jeremy Coy: CRAYONS?!

Matthew Harper: Nice job, Emily. Let's all meet downstairs at the cafeteria, shall we?

I clicked my phone shut and sauntered out of the Staff Room, trying to tidy up my hair just a little; I had been trying to pull my hair out after reading some atrocities of literature: 9R's essays. Terrible, them... How do they get into the top class and give me 3R standard essays? I dusted off my shirt and strolled leisurely down the stairs. Hmm, what does Matthew have in mind? I wonder...

Matthew's POV

I waited in the mostly empty cafeteria, leaning against a wall, chatting to my students still lingering in school. "So, Mr Harper, why did you become a teacher?" Olivia asked. "Well..." I thought for a while. "Why not?" I concluded lamely, smiling widely. "That's not a good answer," Elizabetha complained, arms akimbo. "Well, why not?" I repeated. Oh man, why did I become a teacher? I don't know? Ah, I must have a reason, right? Urm... Come on, guys, come down, quick!

To my relief, the five appeared one by one, coming out of the lift or the stairwell. "Oh, well, got to go, bye!" I called and waved to the group of kids around me. "BYE MR HARPER~" I quickly went over to join them. "Thanks, saved me from a particularly hard question," I huffed. Jenna chuckled. "So the infamous Mr Matthew Harper was stumped by a child's question. Seems legitimate!" I rolled my eyes. "Yes, don't have to gloat..."

Natalie (Armstrong)'s POV

We watched Mr Harper run off to join Ms Emily. SHIPPPPPP~ We smiled knowingly at each other. "Guys," Olivia said. "The ship is real," Elizabetha finished for her. The boys sighed but I knew - we all knew, actually - they were half dying too. "MATTHILY IS THE BEST~"

Erin's POV

I was walking around with a couple of friends before I saw Ms Emily and Mr Harper go out together, with four other teachers I didn't know... That's... Ms Emily. And Mr Harper. WHOA back up, they're going out?! Oooooh~ Matthily!

Emily's POV

I drove the car out onto the main road. "So where to, today?" I asked cheerfully. "Let's go to a bar today..." Matthew suggested, laughing. "What? No! We... We have a reputation to uphold!" I protested, shocked at his boldness. "Aww, come on, Emily~ Just for fun!" Amelia wheedled. "I'm okay with it," Jeremy and Arthur said at the same time, then high-fived. Jenna was, as usual, neutral with everything.

"Oh, fine," I sighed, seeing as I couldn't argue with five of my best friends. "Then let's go into town, there's a nice one there: Smokey Tavern or something like that," Jeremy suggested, pointing at a picture on his phone. "It's beside the big Walmart on Eighth Avenue. Can you find it?" I nodded confidently and revved the engine. "ALLONS-Y!" Matthew yelled. "Matthew, stop saying that... What does it mean anyway?" I asked, a little irritated.

"Doctor Who reference, Ms Fox. And it means 'Let's go'," he explained. I rolled my eyes skywards. Fanboys!

Natalie (Lemon)'s POV (same time)

I happened to bump into Tyler and the rest of their group in school. "Hi, Natalie!" he greeted. "Did you see Mr Harper and Ms Emily? They went out together AGAIN!" Elizabetha squealed. "MATTHILY!" Victoria added. "Oh. Wow. That's NICE," I replied, indifferent. Umm... Okay? Matthily? Yay?

Matthew's POV

We arrived at the small, dark bar and ate a short dinner. "Mmmm... The food's nice," I decided, shovelling mashed potato into my mouth rapidly. "Let's get a few drinks," Arthur suggested, then ordered one round for all of us without waiting for a reply. The beer had a strange, fruity flavour but was overall quite pleasant. Surprisingly, Emily seemed to be enjoying herself, despite her earlier protesting.

The night seemed to fly past, the pints disappearing in a blur. Jenna and Arthur, being more sensible, stumbled home around mid-way. But the three of us kept on. How many... Have I had? Ummmm one or two more won't hurt~ I downed the last gulp, vision blurring with the spots of moving colours. I vaguely remembered a BANG as Jeremy passed out in a puddle of liquor and Emily giggling drunkenly.

And all of a sudden, in an alcohol-filled reverie, I leaned in, smirked, and whispered, voice slurring, "Eeeeeeemmmmmiiiiiillllyyyy you're shoooooo cute, hehehehehee~" and kissed her straight on the lips for a few moments, then my vision went dark...

Emily's POV

I woke up with a throbbing headache and next to Matthew and Jeremy, already up and groaning. "My head is KILLING me," I moaned, massaging it. "Anyone have an aspirin?" Jeremy passed a small pill to me and I downed it with some water. Never... Again... Wait. Last night... MATTHEW BLOODY KISSED ME OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OHHHH MYYYY GODDDD he was drunk, I was drunk AND high, this is TERRIBLE! Thankfully yesterday was Friday... Maybe if I'm lucky Matthew doesn't remember...

Matthew's POV

Oh no I KISSED EMILY YESTERDAY NO I WAS DRUNK AND STUPID, URGH this is embarrassing, maybe Emily doesn't remember? We were both drunk, and it was so random and impulsive. I will NEVER do that again... Oh, my HEAD...

A/N: Yay! It's done. I CANNOT do kiss scenes, thank you very much! Apologies for the terrible-ness, so I wrote an especially long one~ Ciao~!
