Chapter 10

I walked around the woods for awhile.
Andrew didn't seem to mind. He knew that if I started to run, I would either A- get lost, or B- die.
So he didn't really care.
I called Shawn a few times but it never went through. No signal.
I hope Shawn got my location earlier and can somehow track me down.

"Lydia. It's time to come inside now." Andrew said.
I did as asked and walked inside. Believe me I will do anything if you have a gun in your hand.
Just saying.

He sat me down in a dark cold room.
"Sit down on the chair." He scoffed.
I sat down quickly.
"Jake will be here any minute to pick you up." He said looking down at his phone. It read 12:45am.
I've been here for two hours.
Then I heard something upstairs.
It sounded like footsteps.
Please be Shawn.
"Is she here?" The voice brought back so many memories. Not good ones.
"Down here." Andrew shouted.
Jake walked down the stairs and looked me in the eyes.
"Lydia, long time no see." He chuckled.
"Why would I want to see you?" I spat.
"Because I'm your boyfriend." He slurred.
He was drunk. I could tell. He has been drunk around me so many times.

I prayed that Shawn was just around the corner.
"Get up, sweet thing." He grabbed me by the arm and yanked me up beside him.
We were face to face.
"Jake, you're drunk. You don't know what you're doing." I said shutting my eyes.
He pulled me in closer so our lips touched.
I pushed him away and started running upstairs.
My feet hurt from where Jake stepped on them.
I kept running no matter what.
Then I heard sirens. The Police!
I scanned the room and found a door.
It led to the front yard.
I waved my hands back and forth for the police to see me.
Then I felt a sharp, deep pain on my side.
I blacked out.
